I sat on this post for days because it’s not perfect, but what in life is?

This sweet client was very honest and thorough during her consultation. She told me about her hair history and goals, and she had realistic expectations after I showed her the test strand.

Her hair had previous blondeing, professional color, and non professional color, so I was open and honest with her to not over promise and under deliver. I cautioned her that with her hair history, the end result would be unpredictable as to how light her hair would get the first session, but I would use a placement that would be blended and dimensional, and I would tone her according to her lift. I also told her from seeing the results of the test strand, her roots and minds would lift much better than the ends, so I was already aware I would have to fill and tone down the root and mids to match her ends due to the residual color in her hair.

Her only requests were she wanted to be lighter, dimensional, and blended while keeping her hair as healthy as possible.

So, here’s part 1 of this sweet girl’s hair transformation, and no, it’s not perfect, but it is lighter, dimensional, blended, and healthy!

Just a little reminder that it’s okay to not be a picture perfect hairstylist and sometimes it does take more than 1 session to perfect a head of hair. 🩷
