LET’S TALK ABOUT NORMAL WEAR & TEAR WITH LASH EXTENSION

First things first… FALLOUT IS NORMAL.
Your natural lashes are growing, doing their little lash-life thing, and naturally shedding.

Most people naturally lose about 2–3 lashes per eye per day. So yes, those extensions are eventually coming off with the natural lash they’re attached to.

Now… let’s talk about the other stuff that can make them slip out a little faster.

EYE CREAMS + SERUMS
Keep them a good distance away from your lash line. Products travel. Moisture can be great for your skin and pores, but when it sits around the lash line, it can affect the extension bond over time.

SWEAT + TEARS
Sodium and other residue from sweat and tears can build up along the lash line. You may not even SEE it, but over time that buildup can contribute to the adhesive bond weakening… and little by little, those extensions start slipping out.

STOP TOUCHING THEM.
Picking. Pulling. Twisting. Playing with them while you’re watching TV. 😂
Your hands have natural oils, and all that touching can weaken the bond over time — not to mention your natural lashes don’t need the abuse.

WASH THEM. DAILY.
Yes, DAILY.

And if you don’t… that’s on you

But at the VERY least, flush those lashes with fresh water several times after a sauna, steam, workout, run, long sweaty day, or a good ol’ crying sess. 😂

Honestly? Even when you wake up.

This is your reminder that you can get a FULL classic set without forcing the natural lashes to behave.

Look closely at the before. These natural lashes are growing in multiple directions, with kinks, curls, different lengths AND multiple layers.

And THIS is where lashing gets technical.

💡 LASH TIP: Don’t try to force every extension into the exact same direction when the natural lash underneath is fighting you. That can create unnecessary tension at the base.

Instead, work WITH the natural lash.

For this set, I used controlled directional placement to visually redirect those stubborn little kinks and create a smoother top line without twisting the natural lash root just to make everything look “perfect.”

Another thing I want lash artists to pay attention to: TAPE-BACK.

When you have multiple natural lash layers and those little bottom lashes are hiding, proper tape-back can completely change your isolation. You need to SEE what you’re working with before you can properly place anything.

And yes… this is CLASSIC.

You do NOT need fans to create fullness when your placement, styling, layering and natural lash selection are on point.

The goal isn’t to make every natural lash identical. The goal is to create a beautiful, full set while respecting the natural lashes you were given.

Read the growth pattern. Adjust your placement. Protect the natural lash. THEN make it pretty.

Stop fighting the natural lash. Work with it. Go with flow. Make it pretty 💜
