Artists aren’t tired of making art.
Artists are tired of all the extra s**t.

The need to explain.

The need to post.

The need to be visible.

The distorted little dance of trying to remain authentic to the art, while turning yourself into a visual snack people quickly consume between stops on their scroll roll.
That part will wear your spirit smooth if you obsess about it.

I’ve got a theory that the most important thing an artist can do is to retreat to the quiet place and rest… without constructing a self-justifying narrative apologizing for it.

Most of the time, your creative energy just needs the real deal YOU to take your energy back from the world for a while; to push pause and consciously sit with it, to repair it, to rub some Shea butter on it if you need to. To turn down the noise just long enough to hear your own thoughts again.

In this space, find a rhythm, a process, a rest, a refuge that belongs to you, that protects your artist. Create a centered place that resonates with your artist deeper and more authentically than the algorithm, the art market, or everybody else’s expectations.
Find an inner rest that lets you create from clarity instead of chaos.

You’re building a kind of process that reminds you that your creative energy, your art. doesn’t need an always available, always out there, always extending, always rebranding version of you,
it needs a safe, vital and well-rested you.
