Things that make sense for our salon:

1. Cleaning once a week.
Yes, we even clean our booth renters’ stations for them! Even though everyone helps out during the week, we help them out too and clean!

2. No front desk.
Our assistants help with towels, sweeping, confirming appts and greeting people who walk in. This seems to create a more family environment. We love that we all know everyone’s clients.

3. Commission stylist are able to make their own schedules.
We just ask that certain time blocks be covered each week (aka so many evening, morning and Saturday appts worked).

4. One free week for booth renters.
Nothing says THANK YOU like some extra money. We are grateful for our team!

5. One-on-one assistant programs.
Victor and Stephanie personally take on an assistant each to train. Our girls are here to learn and to become full functioning hairstylists, not just shampoo stylists.

6. Quarterly owners meetings.
Stephanie and Victor schedule meetings ahead of time to meet and discuss future team events, promotions, ways to give back, marketing and general improvements to the salon. Holding each other accountable to run a successful salon is important to us.
