RPM settings are not one size fits all — and most nail techs are either going too fast or too slow without realizing it.

Removal starts around 18 RPM, cuticle work sits between 10 to 15, sanding bands always on the slowest speed your drill has, and post-application cleanup back up to 20 depending on how much bulk you’re working through.
