Have you ever said that? Or maybe just thought it? For many stylists, it's a 🚩🚩🚩 to hear that from a new client.

And sometimes, if we're being honest, it can be. But quite often we find that it boils down to if a stylist is truly LISTENING to their client... like all the way listening. And then asking strategic, clarifying questions to get to the 💛 of why they aren't happy and how their cut or color keeps missing the mark.

In Julia's case, the blonde she desired was entirely achievable. But the various bands of different colors of blond happened because stylists weren't being careful about how they applied the lightener and they were impatient and rinsed too soon. Both of those issues are easy fixes!

So we evened out the blonde she previously had and retouched her new growth, and we were plenty patient to wait while it lifted to the brightness she truly desired.

Curls and coils are so unique, beautiful, and interesting- and she takes her time to truly talk through shapes and outcomes, styling routines, goals, expectations, and realities of what can be done with each person's curls who comes into the salon- whether for a cut or color or both.

As the owner of a 2c pattern of wavy hair, Amanda gets the best of both worlds- easy to blowout and curl or wear her hair smooth, or scrunch and let it air dry for some fun texture. But since we all know not everyone has this type of hair, she's spent years learning how to help others love their natural texture and pattern as much as she loves her own!

That's right! In case you were nervous about working with us or wondered if we had any of these policies that might cause hesitation- we do not.

We don't like filling out a million online forms before appointments either, so we won't be asking you to do that.

We don't want to be responsible for holding your deposit. We are in-demand enough that when someone makes an appointment, it's incredibly rare that there's a last minute cancellation or someone who just doesn't show up. And that should tell you a little about us and our work!

And we also don't require payment for a consultation. We would rather spend 15-30 minutes discussing your needs, wants, budget, maintenance & what is possible with your hair so that YOU are comfortable and confident that you've made the right choice to work with us. We still discuss those things during your consultation if you choose to forego a consultation. But just know that we are always happy to discuss before you book.

While we maintain professionalism and luxury style standards, we also are relaxed and friendly and happy to meet you where you are in your hair journey.
