🌿 DO YOU KNOW HOW I GOT THE NAME “HOLLY”? 🌿

I want to share one of the most meaningful memories from my nail career—a memory I hope to preserve forever.

In 2001, I came to Cullman from California to help my younger sister at the first nail salon in town. I originally planned to stay for only a few months, but I soon fell in love with this peaceful community and its kind, friendly people.

At that time, I used my Vietnamese name, which was difficult for some customers to remember and pronounce. One sweet customer said to me:

“I’m going to call you Holly.”

A few days later, another customer brought me a potted holly plant as a gift. Until then, I had no idea that Holly was also the name of a plant.

That simple act of kindness gave me more than an English name—it gave me a beautiful memory that I have carried in my heart ever since.

Years later, when I opened my own salon, only one name felt right: Holly’s Nails & Spa.

Now, 25 years later—and as Holly’s Nails & Spa celebrates its 10th anniversary—I still treasure the name “Holly.” To me, it is a gift of love from the people of Cullman, the place I proudly call my second home.
