The nail industry has SO MANY choices of gels and lamps and yes.... it's confusing and expensive.

But making safe choices is your responsibility as a nail professional.

You can't expect to have a premium clientele and charge high rates of you're not doing your due diligence as the professional.

Your clients trust you. Don't lose that trust over a case of contact dermatitis

He's also in the process of testing the efficacy of some lamps and I am VERY eager to see what he finds!

What nail lamp should you choose??

The one that is going to safely cure your gel products, duhhhhh.

But what if you're loosey goosey with gel systems?

Then first off- let's acknowledge that you're taking a risk. Yes, it's verrrrrry likely that your gel polishes are all being cured just fine- but it's still a risk.

So if you use different brands for gel polishes and still need a lamp- get the one that is designed to cure your BASE PRODUCTS. Do not cherry pick base systems.

Stick to one brand and use all of their systems (gel polish, soft gel, hard gel, etc)

If you know your base product is being safely cured, that's the part that matters most. The product that touches the natural nail needs to be the priority.

A lamp or at minimum, a wattage+uv output recommendations for a lamp, I'd question the quality of the product and its' ingredients. 👀
