Monday was a true pinch-me moment. 🥹

I’m so excited to keep expanding my knowledge and learn more ways to help women who are struggling with hair loss.

Traditional extensions aren't the right solution for everyone, especially when there's significant thinning or areas of hair loss that can't be concealed with traditional methods.

And I want those women to know there are other options worth exploring.

This is something I'm especially passionate about because I know firsthand what it's like to have fine, fragile hair. I understand how much your hair can affect the way you feel about yourself, and I want to be able to offer solutions to women who may have felt like they've run out of options.

Monday was another step toward making that happen, and I honestly can't wait to see where this takes me and the women I'll be able to help along the way. 🫶🏻

Okay, let's talk about something new I've been learning behind the scenes! Today I'm doing a shadow day in NC that's focused on mesh and meshless hair integration.

I wanted to explain what that actually means because I know a lot of people have probably never heard of it! You know how traditional hair extensions add length or fullness to the hair you already have? Well, mesh/meshless integration is a little different. It's designed for people who are experiencing thinning hair or have areas where they're missing density in the front, top, or sides and need more coverage were traditional extensions can't go like the top of the head.

So what's the difference between mesh and meshless:

✨ Mesh integration: Think of it like a lightweight, breathable fabric base that sits over an area of thinning hair. Your existing hair is incorporated through the mesh, and additional hair is attached. If there's no hair that can be pulled through, I have tape that can secure the areas down.

✨ Meshless integration: This creates added coverage and fullness for clients experiencing 30% or less thinning, without using a mesh base.

Both approaches are designed to help create the appearance of fuller hair, but they're not one size-fits-all solutions. The best option depends on the person's hair, scalp, amount of thinning, lifestyle, and what their natural hair can comfortably support.

I am so passionate about learning this because I know firsthand how frustrating it can be to have fine or fragile hair. And I know that traditional extensions aren't the right answer for everybody.

I want to keep learning about options that will help women who have been struggling to find something that works for them. My goal is to understand these systems, learn who they're appropriate for, and make sure I'm offering solutions thoughtfully instead of just jumping on the next trend.

I'm still learning and doing my research, and that's exactly why days like this matter so much to me.

Integrity. That's the word.

My integrity as a stylist and the integrity of your hair will always matter more than achieving a certain look.

You won't catch me pushing your hair to its breaking point just to get you to you brighter faster. Healthy hair will always be the priority, even if that means taking a little longer or adjusting the plan along the way.

I want you to love your hair, but I also want you to feel confident knowing that I'm looking out for you and your hair's health every step of the way. đź–¤

Some tips if you're thinking about going copper or red:

• It's usually better to go a little more intense than your end goal. Reds tend to fade faster, so if you're wanting a soft copper, we may make it a little more coppery at first. As it fades, it settles into that softer shade you were originally wanting.

• Red doesn't always mean fire-engine red. There are so many different directions we can take it: copper, auburn, mahogany, red violet, cinnamon, warm brunette, and everything in between.

• Your starting color matters. The color underneath your red will affect how it looks and how it fades. That's why I pay attention to the underlying tones and don't just throw a red over everything.

• Maintenance makes a difference. If you want that fresh, vibrant red all the time, you'll need to refresh it more often. If you're more of a 3–4 times a year girlie, we can formulate and place your color with that grow-out and fade in mind.

• Your red can evolve. One of my favorite things about red is watching it change as it fades. A well planned red can give you a slightly different version of your color over time instead of just looking dull.

Hair extensions help so many women, but sometimes there is too much thinning on the top of the head to conceal them. I have a solution for you and that is a hair topper.

Now I know what you're thinking...a heavy fake looking wig but I am here to tell you that is not it at all. A topper is light weight and only clips to the top portion of your hair to make like a veil over your head.

No one will even know you are wearing one, they will just think you are having a great hair day!

If you can see your scalp on top, your hair is in a fragile state, or is still thinning then a hair topper is the way to go. I would love to help you achieve the hair you once had, shoot me a message so we can talk. đź–¤

We started her journey removing blue black box dye back in June, and by her second appointment in July, we had gotten her pretty light. We knew once the toner faded that some of that underlying warmth was going to show back up, but we definitely didn't expect quite as much ginger.

And this is where you have to be willing to adjust the plan instead of just continuing to push the hair lighter. This time I intentionally went darker and cooler with her toner. It may look like we've taken a step backward, but we're actually giving ourselves some room to work with.

I want that warmth to soften as it fades instead of having her right back at that red-orange stage. Color corrections are a process. Sometimes the hair gets to tell you what the next step needs to be, and you have to listen. 🖤🖤

She wanted a bright copper red with some blonde mixed in, and she already had plenty of blonde to work with.

Instead of covering all of that blonde, we used it to our advantage and added the copper red where she needed more depth.

the result is a bright dimensional copper that still has those lighter pieces shining through instead of looking like one solid color.

Sometimes you don’t need to start over. You just need to add the right depth in the right places.

Tis the season for adding a little more dimension. One of my favorite ways to do that right now is adding red into the blonde.

Those warm red, copper, and golden tones woven through blonde can create the most beautiful bronde shades.

It gives the hair more depth and richness while still keeping that lighter feel.

Fall hair doesn’t always have to mean going dark. Sometimes it just means adding a little more dimension, warmth, and personality.

One thing I’ve learned working with thicker hair is that you have to think a little differently about dimension.

When you have a lot of hair, tiny little ribbons of color can easily get lost in the density. You can technically have dimension in there, but if the sections are too fine, you may never actually see it.

That’s why I’ll use larger ribbons of color throughout the hair. They have enough presence to actually show through all that beautiful density while still blending together beautifully!
