Have you ever wondered why your hairstylist turns you away from the mirror at times ? It’s not because we don’t want you to see what we are doing, it’s that the mirrors are for us and sometimes they are for you !

***A simple way to think about it: a doctor uses instruments to see inside the body; a hairdresser uses mirrors to see around the head.****

A hairdresser cannot directly see every part of your head, especially the back and sides. The mirror lets us view areas that would otherwise be hidden.

The mirrors allow us to check balance and symmetry. For example to compare whether both sides are cut to the same length or shape.

The mirrors lets us monitor the hairstyle from the same angle that other people will see it, since hair can look different from different viewpoints.

The mirror helps customers participate in the process. If you want a little more trimmed off or prefer a different shape, you can see the progress and give feedback.

I promise we are not hiding you from seeing what we are doing and sometimes it’s just becuase my blow dryer cord does not go as long as I need it to! LOL
