Posting this as a warning/PSA & education with ZERO intent for hate to the other stylist

~sort’ve long post~

Not every stylist is the same. However, there are MULTIPLE methods to achieve the same look and there is no “right” method but there IS a wrong method. DO YOUR RESEARCH before investing $$$$ into your hair!

While I was on my honeymoon around 3 weeks ago my sweet client had a thread pop (accidents happen) and had to get it fixed else where. While she was there the stylist then proceeded to let her know how awful my work was and that she needed to leave me and come to her because I was going to ruin her hair. She completely took down everything I did and re-beaded her. Naturally my client was concerned for the health of her hair and what we’ve been doing and reached out to me to let me know what happened but also to ask me if they looked okay because they felt “a little irritating” which has never happened to her before. I had her send over some photos and was immediately concerned at how tight the beads were and asked her if she was comfortable coming in for me to look at what was going on. (Again, please do your research on not just the method but the stylist you go to!)

The first 5 photos are how she came to me today after the stylist had to “fix” my work. I’m in no way saying my work is perfect because it’s NOT, and I will ALWAYS continue to pour into my education and techniques because I refuse to let someone leave my chair with something that could potentially ruin their hair.

Also, please just be kind, us stylist are trying to build a career in an industry that is taught to tear each other down. I will not name drop and I will never speak harshly on someone’s else’s business/work but the work will ALWAYS speak for itself. Please just make sure your work is damn near perfect before you speak on mine. 🫶🏼
