BIRTH & POSTPARTUM DOULA SERVING THE GREATER ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA AREA

It feels so good to be back into the swing of things. šŸ‘¼šŸ½

As a birth worker my days and nights are spent caring for families experiencing great emotional, mental, and physical change.

This summer, I’ve had to prioritize my own health more than ever, after some unexpected needs came up. It’s been humbling to shift from caretaker to the cared for. Being on the receiving end of support, relying on others, and truly allowing myself to rest has taught me so much.

My clients have been so kind and understanding as I’ve leaned on back doulas or paused support during recovery. My birth community has stepped up in ways I’m endlessly grateful for, and my community and family have made me feel so loved.

Now that I’m fully recovered and back to work, I see the importance of this work even more clearly.

I’m busily booking clients for early 2027 so please reach out soon to get the support we all deserve.

The Enchantments. šŸ”ļø

23 miles through the Core Zone. Gorgeous beyond words and a once in a lifetime trip. It made my PNW heart so happy. Streams, snow, waterfalls, so many lakes and mountain goat friends. Every mile looked like a different planet.

Has anyone else done Asgard’s Pass?? šŸ˜…

My first backpacking trip ever and as always I learned so much about what my body can do when I just keep going.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, and cheered us on. We raised over $1500 for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and Feeding America .

ā€œTo hold space means that we are willing to walk alongside another person in whatever journey they’re on without judging them, making them feel inadequate, trying to fix them, or trying to impact the outcome.ā€ ļæ¼ -Heather Plett, The Art of Holding Space

That’s what a doula can do for you! šŸ’—

What a 4 hour postpartum shift can look like after a long night with a toddler and a newborn.
•Made breakfast for the whole family
•Washed dishes and sterilized pumping parts and pacifiers
•Sat with mom through a breastfeeding session
•Burped and changed baby
•Refilled mom’s water bottle to keep her hydrated
•Sent mom to nap for 90 minutes
•Encouraged dad and big sister to get outside
•Babywore while baby slept
•Folded and put away laundry
•Held baby and kept big sister entertained while lunch came together
•Talked through c-section recovery and postpartum pelvic floor PT

Four hours. One shift.

This is what a postpartum doula does. Not just for baby, but for everyone in that house.

The best thing you can do in the postpartum period is accept help. A postpartum doula is here to set your whole family up for success.

For 10 years, I’ve had a front-row seat to the most extraordinary human experience. As a doula, I’ve witnessed the love, the sacrifice, the pressure, the joy, the bravery, and the beautiful chaos that comes with motherhood. I support a journey I haven’t walked myself, and that has taught me more than I could ever put into words. To every mother in my life and in my care, I celebrate you! Happy Mother’s Day. šŸŒøšŸ‘øšŸ½šŸ’—

Two births in less than 2½ days. Same hospital. Same provider. Both second-time moms. Every birth is its own experience. I was honored to walk alongside both of them. No matter your path, you deserve continuous, personalized support from someone in your corner. That’s what I’m here for. šŸ¤Ž

The same legs that carry me through births carried me through this run + my Taylor Swift playlist. šŸ˜‚

Happy Easter! Happy Spring! This season is one of rebirth, renewal, growth, and hope, where new life blooms and families beautifully expand. I feel so grateful to offer my heart and hands to so many families during their most meaningful seasons. 🌷

Sleep deprivation hits different when you’re also learning to keep a tiny human alive and well. Having a postpartum doula in your corner can change your entire fourth trimester experience.

If you’re expecting, my biggest advice: secure postpartum support before baby arrives. Just 20 hours can be a game changer and impact you and your family more than any perfectly organized nursery ever will. You deserve care too!
