K-Tip strand-to-bond ratio
The bond needs to have enough keratin to properly encapsulate the natural hair and the extension tip.
Too little keratin →
* Weak grip
* Slippage
* Premature shedding
* Bond can break or crack
* Shorter longevity
Too much keratin →
* Bulky bond
* Uncomfortable for the client
* More visible
* Adds unnecessary weight
* Can create excess tension if the section is too small
The key is the natural-hair section
The amount of natural hair selected should be appropriate for the weight of the K-Tip, rather than trying to make every bond extremely tiny.
