Being visible online as an identity-affirming s*x therapy practice makes us vulnerable to scrutiny.

Sometimes that looks like social media shade. Other times, it looks like s*xually inappropriate messages from people presenting themselves as prospective clients with no genuine interest in receiving therapy.

Our online presence is not an invitation to s*xualize us, test our boundaries, or debate the identities we affirm.

We are trained mental health professionals who use evidence-based therapeutic methods. Our goal is simple: to support people in building healthier, more manageable, and more fulfilling lives—while holding ourselves to the highest ethical and professional standards.

That’s it. That’s what we’re doing over here.

Dear admirers,

I’ve decided I’m no longer interested in pretending I don’t care about the details.

I want the good lighting. The beautiful room. Fresh flowers for no occasion. Champagne in the right glass. I want softness where I rest, beauty where I look, and absolutely nothing around me that makes me feel like I’ve settled.

Call it high maintenance if you’d like.
I call it knowing what pleases me.

And once you know what pleases you, lowering your standards starts to feel a little obscene.

With impeccable taste,
Lana 💋

September is Su***de Prevention Month. ❤️

Sometimes the people who are struggling most are still working, parenting, answering texts, showing up for others, and appearing “fine.” Pain does not always look the way we expect it to.

This month, let’s make room for honest conversations. Check in with the people you love, and stay long enough to hear the real answer. You do not need perfect words. A simple “I’ve noticed you don’t seem like yourself lately, and I’m here” can open the door.

If you are struggling, you deserve support before it becomes a crisis. You are not dramatic, weak, or a burden for needing help.

If you or someone you know needs immediate emotional support, call or text 988. The 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline is free, confidential, available 24/7, and offers support in English and Spanish.

Please share this. Someone may need the reminder that they do not have to carry everything alone. ❤️

When the eldest daughter marries into a family, she doesn’t stop being the eldest daughter.

She may arrive already trained to anticipate needs, smooth over tension, keep everyone connected, and take responsibility for other people’s feelings. At first, that can look like being thoughtful and accommodating. But when expectations rise, boundaries are interpreted as rejection, or her effort goes unacknowledged, resentment follows.

Sometimes the “difficult daughter-in-law” is simply an exhausted eldest daughter who has decided she cannot emotionally manage another entire family.

Stop Rushing Through the Life You’re Living | One Sec Therapy

How often do you catch yourself thinking, I’ll relax when I finish this… I’ll slow down when things calm down… I’ll enjoy myself when I have more time?

And somehow, there’s always something else.

Life isn’t the thing waiting for you on the other side of your to-do list. It’s happening while you’re answering emails, driving home, drinking your coffee, putting the kids to bed, and figuring out what comes next.

So, your One Sec Therapy reminder today: stop rushing through the life you’re living. ❤️

September is Sexual Health Month ❤️

And being s*xually healthy is about so much more than how often you’re having s*x.

It’s being able to say yes—and no.
Knowing what you like.
Feeling safe enough to ask for it.
Having boundaries without guilt.
Experiencing pleasure without shame.
And letting your s*xuality belong to you instead of some imaginary version of what’s “normal.”

Your s*x life doesn’t need to look like anyone else’s to be healthy.

It can be playful. Messy. Quiet. Adventurous. Connected. Inconsistent. Evolving.

You deserve a s*xual life that feels good and true to you. 🍒

September is Sexual Health Month ❤️

So, what does it actually mean to be s*xually healthy?

It’s more than avoiding STIs or having a certain amount of s*x. Sexual health is also about pleasure, consent, communication, boundaries, body autonomy, and feeling free to explore what actually feels good and authentic to you.

There is no “correct” amount of s*x. There is no universal definition of a satisfying s*x life. And different doesn’t automatically mean dysfunctional.

As a s*x therapist, I see how much unnecessary anxiety can come from comparing our desire, bodies, relationships, and s*xual experiences to what we think is “normal.”

This Sexual Health Month, let’s make a little more room for curiosity and a lot less shame. ❤️

You deserve a s*xual life that feels good and true to you.

Welcome to Red Flag/Green Flag, our series where we break down the relationship behaviors that can look romantic on the surface BUT deserve a closer look. 🚩💚

First up: love bombing.

Love bombing can feel like finally meeting someone who is sure about you. The constant texts, intense compliments, big promises, and immediate closeness can be intoxicating—but intensity isn’t always intimacy.

The real red flag is what happens next: Does the affection remain consistent and respectful, or does it disappear when you set a boundary, ask for space, or stop giving them exactly what they want?

Healthy love doesn’t rush you, overwhelm you, or make you earn the sweetness back.

Some of us learned how to tie ourselves into knots just to keep the peace.

You became the fixer. The mediator. The one who stayed quiet, anticipated everyone’s moods, or worked overtime to prevent the next explosion. Those patterns may have helped you survive a high-conflict family—but now they might be showing up as people-pleasing, hyper-independence, reactive anger, or feeling responsible for everyone else’s emotions.

Healing doesn’t mean cutting every tie. Sometimes, it means slowly untangling what belongs to you, loosening the knots you were never meant to carry, and learning that love doesn’t have to feel like chaos.

Therapy can help you recognize these patterns, set healthier boundaries, and create the emotional safety you may not have experienced growing up.

Healing Space Therapy Collective offers trauma-informed therapy in Miami and virtually throughout Florida. Contact us when you’re ready to begin untangling the cycle. 🎀
