A little hidden color. A LOT of personality. 🌈✨
The color comes alive with every movement. Maroon, violet, deep blue, emerald green.
And yes… I absolutely had way too much fun creating this one. 😂

Apple Spice
Think crisp apple, warm cinnamon strudel, and just enough copper to make the whole thing glow. We kept the dimension rich with ribbons of warmth woven through the brunette base for that “fall just walked out of the salon” kind of color. 🍂
Omg. I don't know if he'll ever let me do this again! 😂😂😂 Please enjoy my husband's audio dub of my video.
Give him lots of encouragement in the comments so we can get more husband commentary!!
*no offense to any accents that were portrayed in the voice over 🤣

Have you heard of the Burnt Toast Theory? 🍞
The idea is that sometimes all the little annoying things that happen to you in a day — burning your toast, forgetting your keys, hitting every red light — end up delaying you just enough to keep you from something else… or redirecting you toward something you were supposed to find.
Well, apparently my morning had plans for me. 😂
And then I met Hannah.
She had accidentally booked her appointment at our Fort Worth location when she actually meant to book at Grapevine.
Normally, that would just be one of those “Welp, we’ll have to get you rescheduled!” situations.
But because of the timing of my chaotic little morning… I was there. 😂
So I got to meet her, we got her taken care of, and we had a conversation about what she actually wanted.
And this girl had been getting “just a trim” for a while.
She came in knowing she needed more than that — and I was absolutely on the same page.
She didn't need a bob. We just need to actually reshape the haircut. Give the ends some life, clean up the perimeter, create movement, and get rid of the parts that are hanging on simply because they've been hanging on. 😂
And lately, one of my favorite things to do is take a photo of the back of my client's hair and show it to them.
Because let's be honest… how often do you actually get to SEE the back of your own head?!
Looking over your shoulder in the mirror is not the same thing. A photo gives you a completely different perspective — and sometimes you suddenly understand exactly what your stylist has been seeing.
So… what do you think of Hannah's before & after? 👀
Maybe my inconvenient morning wasn't actually that inconvenient after all.
Maybe it was just the burnt toast. 🍞✨

A little appreciation for the men in my chair today. 👏🏻
I don’t showcase men’s haircuts nearly as often as I should… mostly because I don’t photograph them nearly as often as I should. 😂
But YES—I do men’s haircuts. Husbands, sons, dads, boyfriends… I’ve got you covered.
And then there’s my loyal following of teenage boys and their llama/broccoli hair. 😂🥦🦙 I am genuinely so flattered by how much they love my cuts, because I KNOW how particular these boys can be. They may not say much—and most definitely aren’t going to gush over their haircut—but I can see that little twinkle in their eye when they look in the mirror and know it’s exactly what they wanted. And honestly? I love that.
The only problem is getting them to take a decent photo afterward.
“Is this my mugshot?”
“Do I look like I’m being booked?”
Insert terrible joke here.
Sir. I am simply trying to photograph your haircut. 😂
So today, we’re giving the men’s cuts some screen time. Because while blonding and balayage may get most of the attention around here…
The guys need a consistent stylist, too. 😎✂️
Listen… I can make the hair look amazing, but apparently remembering to photograph it afterward is where my skill set ends. 😂
My camera roll is basically a museum of beautiful before pictures with absolutely no conclusion to the story. 🫠
Consider this my public apology to all the gorgeous hair I forgot to photograph. 😂✂️

Curled hair is gorgeous. I LOVE a beach wave because it catches the light, exaggerates the dimension, and shows off all those beautiful little pops of depth.
But here’s the thing… the color should look good straight, too.
These are the same head of hair. Both are after photos.
One smooth. One beachy.
I wanted to show the difference because when the color placement is done well, the dimension doesn't disappear when you take the curl out. You can see the blend, the depth, the brightness, and the overall tone without relying on the styling to do the heavy lifting.
And THAT is the kind of color work I want to put my name on. ✨

POV: You book a balayage, but I don't actually balayage your hair. 😂
This lived-in, dimensional result was created with:
→ Traditional foils
→ Strategic babylights
→ AirTouch lowlights
→ ZERO open-air, freehand painting
→ ZERO toner
And we took just under 2" off to bring the ends back to life.
The magic isn't always in the technique you expect. It's in knowing exactly where to put the light and where to put the depth.
Because ultimately what you're asking for is a look—not necessarily a technique. ✨

Is it really worth it to be long, if the ends look like this? 👀
Sometimes keeping every last inch isn’t actually doing your hair any favors.
Both of these clients had several inches of length removed — and look at the difference. ✨ The hair immediately looks fuller, healthier, and more intentional without sacrificing that long-hair feeling.
Because “long” and “full” are two very different things.
Sometimes the best way to make long hair look better… is to let a little of it go. ✂️
** (I tried to line them up true to size, but originally I was just taking pictures to show the clients where the density line was and how much of a difference it made.)
