The first thing I’d focus on is becoming visible.

One of the biggest mistakes beauty professionals make is believing that talent alone brings clients. Talent helps you keep clients. Visibility is what gets people through the door in the first place.

1. I’d create content consistently while focusing on my exact location. Big cities are oversaturated. Focusing on a smaller, more specific location helps you grow faster and makes it easier for potential clients to find you.
2. I’d network with complementary businesses and attend local events. Don’t be afraid to get out there. Bars and lounges aren’t the only places to find clients. Put yourself in rooms where your ideal clients already spend their time and make it easy for people to trust you before they ever book.

I would focus on building relationships instead of chasing quick sales.

I would collect emails.

I would follow up.

I would stay top of mind.

I would make sure every client felt valued enough to tell someone else about me.

Building clientele doesn’t have to feel hard when you have a plan that creates trust and keeps your business visible long enough for people to choose you.
