Little Miss North Carolina Sunshine - Addison Goodnight

I’m so excited to be passing my title to the beautiful,sassy, and best of all…my friend Makenna Eller!! Congrats sweet girl I’m so excited to watch you reign!

This is my final post as your Little Miss North Carolina Sunshine. Later today you will be introduced to the 2027 but there is something I want you all to know!

It’s hard to believe that a year has already passed since receiving my title. When my name was called on this stage last year, I cannot describe just how excited was for what was ahead of me. Sunshine is where my pageant journey began, and it was such a full circle moment to receive a title I eagerly awaited three years.
This year I’ve met so many amazing people and made friendships I hope will last far beyond my reign. I will forever treasure all of the memories that were made.
To my sash sisters, thank you for loving me, for being my friends and for making me feel like family. To my director Savannah, thank you for making this opportunity and these memories possible. You are the queen behind the queens and the driving force that makes the Sunshine system a family. I’d also like to thank for my family for always encouraging me and supporting my dreams.
As I pass on my crown today to the next Little Miss, I want her to know something Ive learned this year. This title is much more than wearing a crown and sash, its having a heart for service. Serve your community as much as you can, but remember to serve your Sunshine family as well. Do your best to go to all of the Sunshine events and be a true sister. Make the most of your year because it goes by far too quickly.
As I say goodbye to all of the memories made, know that I am carrying them with me into whatever comes next. Thank you for giving me a year I will never forget. It has been an honor and a privlige to serve on this court. To all of the incoming queens, remember to wear your crown with kindness, confidence, and a grateful heart.

And here it is….my final sleep as your 2026 Little Miss NC Sunshine. Words cannot describe how thankful I am to have served on this court and to now be apart of the legacy and forever sisterhood! I’ll cherish these memories forever!!!
Thank you so much to all who have followed this journey! I hope you will show just as much support for the next Queen that takes on this title!

We got thru all of the onstage events today and awarded optionals. Next up icecream party 🍦😋
Buts it’s all ending so fast 🥹 I promise I’ll hold it together for icecream but I may cry tomorrow!

Optionals are in full swing and we’re already having the best time!!!

What an AMAZING first day of State! First was our awards banquet followed by registration, contestant interviews and finally rehearsal! Everything has been so wonderful I’m so sad it’s ending but I am so excited to see all of our contestants perform tomorrow for all of the stage events. Tomorrow will be long but such a fun day!
