S&S Blade and Brush is officially becoming **Emmaus Place — Beauty for the Journey.**

If you’ve been with me for a while, you already know there have been A LOT of changes lately. We packed up, moved into a new space, and started making it our own. Somewhere in the middle of all of that, I realized the old name just didn’t fit where I was going anymore.

So this isn’t just a new name or a new logo. It feels like the final piece of stepping into a completely new chapter.

The name **Emmaus** comes from Luke 24 and the road to Emmaus. Jesus met them right there on the road—in the middle of their journey—and there’s something about that story that has stuck with me. Because so much of life happens in the middle. We’re growing, changing, figuring things out, celebrating things, grieving things, starting over, and becoming who God is calling us to be along the way.

After 16 years behind the chair, I’ve realized this job has never been *just* about hair for me.

Don’t get me wrong—I LOVE a good transformation, dimensional color, a fresh cut, and that moment when you look in the mirror like, “Okayyyy, I needed that.” 😂 But I also love what happens in my chair. The conversations. The relationships. The celebrations. The hard seasons. The laughing until our stomachs hurt and, sometimes, the crying.

I wanted the name of this place to finally reflect its heart.

**Emmaus Place is still me. Still the same clients I love. Still doing the men’s cuts that have been such a huge part of my career—so gentlemen, no need to panic. 😂**

But I’m also making room for growth: more color, more women in my chair, more creativity, and more of the faith that has completely changed my own journey.

The space changed.
Now the name has, too.
But the heart behind my chair is only becoming more of what it was always meant to be.

So officially… welcome to **Emmaus Place. 🤎**

✨ I’ve been a little quiet… but for good reason. ✨

First, I want to apologize for the radio silence on social media lately. There’s been so much happening behind the scenes that I’ve been putting all my energy into an exciting new chapter, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

As I transition into my new salon space, my availability will be a little different over the next few weeks. I’m currently working from a temporary setup on the same property, which means I’m able to offer haircuts and services that don’t require shampooing. Color services and any appointments requiring a shampoo bowl will return as soon as the new space is ready.

🏖️I’ll also be on vacation July 14–19.

You’ll notice this page will be getting a new name in the coming weeks. Don’t worry—it’s still me! It’s all part of a rebrand that better reflects the vision for this next chapter, and I can’t wait to reveal everything soon.
