💦 Summer Hair Tip from True Textures 💦

Protective styles only do their job if you’re still taking care of the hair underneath.

One of my favorite summer routines is giving my knotless braids a light spritz with a hydrating leave-in spray or water-based moisturizer a few times a week. It helps keep your natural hair moisturized, cuts down on dryness, and can help prevent breakage when it’s time to take your braids out.

Pro Tip: Think light mist, not soaking wet. Too much moisture can get trapped in your braids and lead to mildew, odors, or scalp irritation. A quick spritz gives your hair the hydration it needs while still letting your braids dry properly.

Don't forget to:✨ Moisturize your scalp if it feels dry.✨ Sleep with a satin bonnet or pillowcase.✨ Cleanse your scalp regularly to remove sweat and buildup.✨ Keep your braids hydrated, but not dripping wet.

Healthy hair still needs care, even when it’s braided. 💕
