We order our oils as close to home as possible in order to minimize the distance they travel, and we grow the herbs and vegetables used in the soap in our own garden. The Nitty Gritty about our business:

We only use natural ingredients. This enables us to use high quality oils and avoid harsh synthetics. Many people have a sensitivity to synthetic fragrances, but with our products they can enjoy scents and reap the benefits that come with essential oils. We do not use synthetic dyes in our soap. The color of the soap is determined by the materials used, but to us this means that the color comes from: oils, herbs, flowers, vegetables, clays, and beers. Careful attention to our ingredients means we are petroleum free, sodium laurel sulfate free, paraben free and most of our products are vegan. When packaging or shipping our products, we rely on recycled materials. We strive to avoid plastic, or find a recyclable low-plastic alternative, and the paper that is used to print our labels is chlorine free, FSC Certified, Green Seal Certified, lignin free, and recycled! When shipping, we use shredded paper from local sources as our cushioning material, and we have a local resource for our boxes. As with anything applied topically, please make sure you aren't sensitive to any of the ingredients. Some herbs and essential oils do not work well with some people, or if you're nursing or pregnant. Always do your own research to make sure they are appropriate for you.
