A patient gave me a mini glass brain today and it made me think about how delicate our brain truly is!

While it is very delicate and susceptible to minute changes , it is SO RESILIENT!

Through therapy and engagement in personal activities our brain can be RE-WIRED. Isn’t that amazing? It’s as malleable as molten glass , and just as beautiful 💕🧠.

COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and it’s relationship to swallowing deficits (dysphagia) is multi faceted. A major relationship determined in Steidl et al’s 2014 literature review , was that dysphagia can exacerbate COPD difficulties.

COPD is a major cause of death in the US. As a speech pathology private practice, we want to help clients with COPD further protect themselves with a personalized swallow exercise program and person centered care.
