Wednesday MOTD 💕 Date Night Edition

Date night on a Wednesday?! Who are we? 😂

Anthony is off Thursday and Friday, so we're going out on the town tonight.

Okay...not really. We're going to eat BBQ. 🤣 But that's still a date and I wanted to get a little fancy!

I pulled out my little BYOP of ColourPop singles and added three of my Sydney Grace shimmers — Save The Dance, Gummy Bear and Glitz & Glamour.
Apparently my definition of “fancy” is mauves, plums and a sparkly rosy lid...which, who's surprised? 😂

I love how soft this turned out while still having that deeper plum on the outer corner to give it a little drama. Pretty makeup, BBQ and my favorite person sounds like a pretty perfect Wednesday night to me. ❤️

Tuesday MOTD 🍂🌅

Today's makeup started with a photo!

I went to Pinterest to find some eyeshadow inspo and saw a beautiful picture instead. So I decided to build an eye look inspired by the photo. (Swipe to see photo). I loved this color story!

I sat down with the BPerfect Carnival IV and Huda Naughty N**e palettes and tried to turn that photo into an eye look.
And...I freaking LOVE how this turned out. 😍

I pulled in the warm terracotta and burnt orange from the sunset, the deeper burgundy/wine tones from the leaves and blanket, and that beautiful glowing rosy copper from the sky.

I wasn't trying to recreate the picture literally—I just wanted the makeup to feel like the picture.
Mission accomplished. 🍁

This may need to become a regular thing because choosing my makeup from a completely unrelated inspiration photo was SO much fun.

I was over the moon with my progress last month. This month is still eyeshadow heavy but with much more realistic goals 😂😂

Monday MOTD 💚🌧️

It is dark, rainy and moody outside today, and apparently my makeup decided to match the weather. 😂

I pulled out my Glamlite Breaking Dawn palette along with my little quad of Sydney Grace greens. Both are currently in my Deck of Panning with a 5-use goal, so this was a very productive makeup day. 👏🏻

But can we talk about Green Mist?! This was my first time actually using it, and I put it on the inner corner thinking it would just add a little something.

A LITTLE SOMETHING?! 😳

That shade completely changed the look. That bright minty-green glow against the deeper smoky outer corner is SO good.

Moody, smoky, a little grungy...with a glowing green inner corner. Yep. The weather definitely chose today's makeup. 💚

Sunday MOTD 🍂

September’s Shop My Stash brought the Ace Beauté Classical Paradise palette back into my makeup drawer, and this one has been in my collection for a LONG time.

Honestly, that was part of the reason I wanted to pull it back out. It had been so long since I’d used it that I wanted to know… does it still perform the way I remember?

The answer is YES. 👏🏻
The mattes are still beautifully pigmented and blendable, and those shimmers? Still just as gorgeous as they were when I first bought this palette. That metallic shine on the lid did not disappoint!

Classical Paradise officially passed her September performance review. ✔️🍁

Friday MOTD on Saturday 😆

This was my Friday MOTD had no time to post.

I wanted soft and pretty — and apparently my version of soft and pretty is mauve. 😂

I pulled out ColourPop Stone Cold Fox and Huda Beauty Naughty N**e. I stayed in those dusty mauve, plum and cool rosy tones, and I LOVE how this turned out. The deeper plum on the outer corner gives it just enough definition, while that soft silvery-mauve shimmer across the lid keeps everything light.

Also, Stone Cold Fox is starting to show some serious love in a few of those pans. 👀 I'm still under no illusion that I'm going to hit pan in the entire thing, but we're going to keep trying!

And yes, there are project shades involved because at this point...who are we kidding? 😂 I'm going to sneak progress in wherever I can.

Thursday MOTD 🤎✨

I really did try to have a no-project-shades makeup day today.

I failed. 😂

I reached for my Natasha Denona Mini Zendo and used that for most of the look, but apparently I am physically incapable of ignoring my project makeup when it's sitting right there. So the Morphe 35O came back out to provide a little support and get some more progress in my Deck of Panning.

And I’m not mad about it.
Mini Zendo gave me exactly what I wanted today — warm rosy browns.

Also, can we appreciate how much I used the 35O and managed to create completely different looks? THAT is exactly why I still love this giant palette. 👏🏻

Maybe tomorrow I'll manage a project-free makeup day.

Wednesday MOTD 🩶💜

Today I wanted to get some more use out of my ColourPop Stone Cold Fox palette. I’m still trying to hit pan in as many shades as possible this year, but listen… I’m ambitious, not delusional. 😂 Those middle two rows are probably going to look basically untouched when December rolls around.

BUT… today they had a job!
I wanted to use the purples currently hanging out in my Eyeshadow Roulette project — Sydney Grace Refuge, Devinah Charmed and Makeup Geek Day Dreamer — and I knew the grays in Stone Cold Fox would be perfect for building out the rest of the look.

And can we talk about how pretty those purples are against the smoky gray?! 😍 Charmed especially is doing that whole blue-purple shift on the lid, and the cool gray haze around it makes it stand out even more.

Tuesday MOTD ☀️🔥

It is HOT and sunny today, and apparently my eyeshadow decided to match the weather. 😂 Give me all the warm, golden, sun-drenched shades!

I’m still plugging away at my Morphe 35O for Deck of Panning, so I pulled it out to get some more NPLB progress. Then I brought in a few of my Eyeshadow Roulette shades — ColourPop Neon Kiss and Too Bee, plus Kai from Natasha Denona.

And THIS is why I love mixing projects together. 🙌🏻 I’m getting progress on multiple shades without creating some crazy color story just for the sake of using them. These actually made sense together!

That golden lid with the deeper warm outer corner is giving me late-summer sunshine. ☀️🍂 We may be creeping toward fall, but I am absolutely NOT ready to give up summer yet. 😂
