She was a subtle cool toned blonde back in April & after dipping her toes into color she finally decided to really be BOLD 😉.

September is coming to an end & Hispanic Heritage Month has me thinking about how much my dark-haired girls have shaped my career. 🤎

Growing up, I heard SO many times that dark hair was “too hard” to lighten, that certain blondes just weren’t possible, or honestly… that girls like us just shouldn’t be blonde. Because “Chocoflan” hair 🙄🙃.

And now I get to build a career around doing exactly that. 🫶🏼🥹

Taking dark, heavily pigmented hair and creating transformations that my clients once thought weren’t possible — while still making the health of their hair the priority🤍.

But it’s bigger than just making someone blonde.

It’s creating a space where you don’t feel like your hair is “too dark,” your goal is “too much,” or you have to settle for what someone else told you was possible for you.

This is exactly why we created this space. 🤎

A place for dark-haired girls to feel seen, heard, comfortable AND excited about what their hair can become✨.

And getting to do that for so many Hispanic women who grew up hearing the same things I did?

That means a little extra to me. 🥹

Sometimes you just have to let the hair decide. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Especially when we’re working through years of color, old lightener, box dye, overlapping, etc. Sometimes the goal we have in our head isn’t the goal our hair is ready for yet…YET. 👀

And that’s okay🤍.

We don’t have to hate every tone in between. We don’t have to rush through every session just to get to the end result. We can embrace the tone, the brightness, the dimension and the progress of each appointment✨.
