I went back and forth a lot about sharing this π§‘
Not because Iβm ashamed of what I believe, but because writing it cracked something open in me. It was raw and honest in a way that almost felt too sacred to share. The world feels heavy right now - imperfect, fractured, and overwhelming. Like weβre all trying to see clearly through fog most days.
But the longer I sat with it, the clearer one truth became: if I feel this way, I know I'm not alone. While this may unsettle or offend some, I know it will resonate deeply with many more - touching places they may not have even realized needed tending. π
Iβve struggled to show up honestly on social media this past year, but silence no longer feels like an option.
So if nothing else, let this be my re-emergence.
Itβs time to build resilience, to offer hope, and to back our words with action.

Because, HUMANS MATTER π
Meg and I hosted our first charity event π₯Ήπ«Άπ»
Why, you ask? Because, humans matter. π§‘
In a world falling apart and hanging by whatever threads we can find, choose to create something purely beautiful. Choose to a part of something bigger. Something more important. Something real. Make your voices heard and take up spaceππ»
β οΈ LONG POST AHEAD β¬οΈ
Back in early October, Hurricane Helene took her fair share of the eastern border, killing an estimated 230 people, taking down cities and entire communities, leaving billions without electricity, or running water. A few of our friends in the industry that live in North Carolina also posted that they had lost entire homes and salons to this catastrophe, and that hit our hearts HARD π
A few stylist pals of mine + Meg's decided we wanted to do something to help! So, we chose to donate our time and craft to raise money and help those in need!
Introducing, Shear Hope - Hurricane Recovery ππ»
With the incredible skills of 6 stylists, a reiki master, 14 cups of coffee, lots of Diet Coke, some delicious food donated by , a freshly painted/mid-renovated salon, and our big fat hearts, we hosted an unforgettable Cut-a-thon dedicated to hurricane recovery βοΈβ€οΈ
We were able to service 33 amazing humans by giving brow shaping services, fresh haircuts, and soul-soothing energy healing + aura painting. The vibes were emaculate, and the positive energy was contagious. Each transformation was a step towards hope and healing.β¨
Together, We were able to raise $1,250 to donate to our friends in North Carolina! Thank you for all that you do and all that you've contributed to raise money for Asheville. You truly know how to show the power of community π₯οΈ
