A little October update from me 🤎

As 931 continues to grow, my role has to grow with it — and beginning in October, my schedule is going to look a little different.

I am absolutely still seeing patients. But I’ll be adjusting my schedule to create dedicated time to work on the business, continue advancing what we offer, support our team, and still provide the level of care I expect for the patients currently under my care.

And that brings me to something I need your help with…

Going forward, I will no longer be checking or responding to personal texts, Facebook messages, or personal DMs regarding work.

If you need us, please contact the office by call, text, or DM the 931 business page. Our phones are set up to appropriately direct urgent needs when necessary.

And please, please utilize my team. 🤎

I wholeheartedly trust the providers I have chosen to care for you. We collaborate, communicate and work together — you are not being “passed off” when you schedule with another member of our team. You’re being cared for by 931.

Protecting some separation between work and home is also something I need to be better about. After 5 PM, my time belongs to my family. Being more intentional with that boundary allows me to show up better for them, for our team and for you.I built a business I love. I’m also building a life I don’t want to continue missing.

A couple of housekeeping reminders as we grow:
• Please schedule appointments in advance. We are no longer consistently able to accommodate immediate or last-minute appointments.
• Prescription refills require at least 24 hours’ notice.
• Most prescriptions will now be processed through our compounding pharmacy which can take up to 5-7 days or longer to receive.

Growth requires change — but our standard of care isn’t changing.

Ferritin deserves more attention than a quick “it’s in range.” 👀

Our protocol here at 931 has always included treating ferritin based on evidence based practice that focuses on optimization vs parameters. However, new updated guidelines are confirming that providers indeed need to identify iron deficiency earlier—but the number is only part of the picture. Providers need to also look at patient symptoms, inflammation, menstrual blood loss, absorption, nutrition, thyroid health, and why your iron stores are low in the first place all matter. Guess what…we were already doing this! 🤭

A complete lab panel, yes more in depth than your P*P is needed, because…you can have low iron stores before your CBC ever shows anemia.

Our goal isn’t just to chase a lab value though—it’s to look at the whole picture and determine what your body needs.
