October is when home starts feeling especially good.

The windows close a little earlier.
The kitchen smells warmer.
Showers get longer.
Blankets return to the sofa.
And the fragrances we reach for begin to change too.

Rather than making October overtly “pumpkin-and-fall,” I want it to feel like Simply Good Soap’s version of autumn—warm, sophisticated, lived-in, and a little indulgent.

It's time to create your favorite cold - weather rituals.

This Month's Favorites

But October also brings back something many of us have been waiting for...

If you're ready to bring a little more comfort into your everyday routine, you can explore this month's favorites by clicking here!

A Little Ritual

Choose one evening this week when you don't have anywhere else to be.

Take the longer shower.

Use the soap you've been saving. Warm a few drops of body oil between your hands and slowly massage it into your skin. Put on something soft, make your favorite warm drink, and give yourself permission to be finished for the day.

No multitasking. No rushing to the next thing.

Just cozy.

Because sometimes taking care of yourself looks less like adding something else to your schedule and more like deciding that you've done enough for today.

Thank you for allowing Simply Good Soap to be part of the quiet moments in your home. I hope October brings you crisp mornings, cozy evenings, beautiful scents, and plenty of reasons to slow down and stay awhile.

Warmly,

Leslie

September, You Were Good to Us

September arrived quietly.

With softer mornings.

Open windows.

Familiar routines finding their way back into our days.

It reminded us that comfort doesn’t always come from something new.

Sometimes it’s the mug you reach for every morning.

The chair where you always end up.

A few pages before the day begins.

The familiar rituals that make home feel like yours.

And maybe that’s what this month was really about.

Not changing everything.

Just slowing down enough to appreciate what was already good.

So before we turn the page, take one more moment here.

September doesn’t need a grand goodbye.

A quiet thank you will do. 🤎

Not every moment of care needs a purpose beyond how it makes you feel.

Warm water.

Soap between your hands.

That familiar lather.

A few quiet minutes that belong only to you.

We spend so much time thinking about what comes next that it’s easy to overlook the small pleasures already built into our day.

But caring for your skin doesn’t have to be another thing on the list.

Sometimes it can simply be a moment to linger.

To enjoy the scent.

Feel the water.

Notice how good it feels to care for yourself without rushing through it.

Ordinary?
Maybe.

But ordinary can still feel luxurious.

Simply Good Soap — making the everyday feel a little more beautiful. 🤎

There comes a point in the evening when the day no longer needs you.

You've done what you could.

The rest can wait.

Wrap your hands around something warm.

Turn down the lights.

Let the room become quiet.

And resist the temptation to fill those final minutes with one more task.

Rest doesn't have to be earned by finishing everything.

Sometimes you simply have to decide it's time.

End of Summer.
Alaska ministry NEVER gets old.
Our time there was precious and beautiful. 🩵

Rain outside.

A warm shower.

Fresh pajamas.

Nothing left to accomplish today.

Black Amber & Lavender belongs here.

Lavender settles into warm amber, black myrrh, vanilla, tonka bean, Egyptian musk, and clary sage to create something deeper than a traditional lavender fragrance.

Comforting, warm and quietly sophisticated.

A scent for that wonderful moment when the outside world can wait until tomorrow.

Sometimes rest begins with deciding the day is done.

Not every empty space needs to be filled.

Not every quiet moment needs entertainment.

Not every evening needs another thing checked off the list.

Sometimes the most restorative thing we can do is leave a little room.

A warm shower.

A folded towel.

Soft lighting.

A few minutes when nobody needs anything from you.

September is a beautiful time to begin making space for quiet again.

Not as a reward.

As part of the rhythm.

Some evenings don't need plans.

They need soft light.

Fresh pajamas.

Moisturizer worked slowly into the skin instead of hurriedly applied.

Maybe a book.

Maybe music.

Maybe nothing at all.

Caring for yourself doesn't always need to become another routine to perfect.

Sometimes it can simply be the way you tell yourself:
I'm finished for today.

09/16/2026

The dishes are finished.

The lights are low.

You've changed into something comfortable, and the rest of the evening has absolutely no agenda.

This is where Vanilla Amber belongs.

Warm vanilla and amber create the kind of fragrance that seems made for quiet evenings at home—soft, comforting, and beautifully uncomplicated.

Some luxuries aren't meant for special occasions.

They're meant for nights like this.

The ordinary ones.

The ones that quietly restore you.
