I’ve got something I’ve been excited to share.

Most of you probably already know the story… my brother, Sam, was the one who started my locs six years ago. It’s pretty amazing to see how far things have come since that day.

Since then, he’s been apprenticing with me, learning everything that goes into becoming a well-rounded crochet loctician.

Over the last several months he’s been training in maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, installations, handmaking extensions, installing extensions, and removals. He’s put in a lot of work behind the scenes, and now he’s ready for his final challenge.

Before Sam earns his full Crochet Dreadlocks Certification through Dr. Dread Academy, he has one last requirement to complete—his Apprentice Tour.

We’re filling his first Florida tour now, and I need clients who are ready to book to be part of that journey.

Sam isn’t as fast as I am yet, and his work is still developing. That’s exactly why apprenticeships exist. Every loctician starts somewhere, and the only way to become exceptional is by putting in the hours behind the chair. I’ll be mentoring him throughout the process and making sure every client is taken care of. I will still be taking my normal tour for August/September for follow ups, critiquing and typical maintenance appointments.

As a thank you for helping Sam complete his certification, his Apprentice Tour will be offered at a heavily discounted rate compared to my normal pricing of $75/hour plus a $75 travel fee. His introductory rate is $35/hr and his travel fee will depend on where you are located unless you come to him in Hernando (Ci County) for no add’l travel fee.

If you’ve been thinking about getting maintenance, starting your loc journey, adding extensions, repairing existing locs, or even having your locs removed, this is a great opportunity to support someone who’s working hard to turn this into his career.

Heya fam! Life has been crazy! I’m continuing touring as I get readjusted to life in Johnson City! I currently have all tours mapped out and booked through August 24. Florida is next for scheduling 8/25-9/15.

I will be opening the Florida schedule this week for booking and I will reach out to all Floridian clients within the next few days 🫶🏼

I see all of your messages, and I promise I’m getting back to everyone today.

The last few weeks have been an absolute whirlwind as I’ve been handling my late stepfather’s estate. Between paperwork, court deadlines, coordinating family, and getting everything ready for the estate sale and the house to hit the market next week, I’ve had to readjust my schedule several times to make sure everyone still has an opportunity to get on my books.

Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding. It means more than you know.

The entire family is here working nonstop to get everything accomplished, and we’re finally in the home stretch.

Below is my projected schedule through early September. If you don’t see your state listed, please send me a message ASAP and let me know. I’ll be filling this schedule today as I work my way through everyone’s messages and appointment requests.

Please be prepared to pay your travel fee/deposit when booking so I can lock your spot in.

Appointments are going to be extremely limited, and for the next few months there won’t be much flexibility as I adjust to the new schedule flow. My goal is still to get to everyone at least every 12 weeks.

The only exception is that once winter weather sets in, I will no longer be traveling north of I-70 due to snowfall and road conditions.
