Welcome back to THE CUT THEORY by Runway. This time: OVAL FACE SHAPES.

Oval faces are typically longer than they are wide, with softly curved features and balanced proportions. That balance means a lot of different cuts can work beautifully — but different cuts still create completely different effects.

Long layers can enhance natural balance.
A structured bob or lob adds definition.
Going short puts the focus on your eyes, cheekbones + jawline.
Curtain bangs create movement, while a full fringe can visually shorten the face.
Even changing your part can shift the entire look.

One thing we’re watching? Length. Very long, flat hair without movement or face framing can visually exaggerate an already-long face.

Does that make it wrong? No.

It just matters what effect you want.
