This year Brennakkbeauty’s annual Kindness for Christmas Charity is honoring a family and a cause very close to my heart. Andy Ucci, our very close family friend, a father, a husband and a brother.

Everyday isn’t guaranteed for any of us, but when something like this hits close to home it stops your world. Life is so fragile and so special and when we all come together we have a better chance of making a difference for others going through harder times than some of us could even understand.

This holiday season Brennakkbeauty Tiny Salon has organized various ways to help support Andy and his family to help get them through this. Please consider donating to one of the options if you can.

Mother of the Bride, Wedding ready 🤍

My mom has been every shade of bright red for the past 10+ years. When I was little, she was always blonde with funky colors & thick money pieces. After finishing this last session, looking at her, I felt like I was 10 again, looking up at the most strong, beautiful, woman, who I wanted to be just like. It was a wave of nostalgia, it’s funny how hair can take you back in time to memories, like a song.

After 5 months of working towards her end goal, we finally met it. This has not been an easy process whatsoever. There were many times she wanted to throw in the towel and go back red because it would have been so much easier than this. And I’m not gonna lie, I was frustrated too, maybe even cried a little LOLLLL. But with some patience & color theory we finally got her to her goal.

This is the hard truth about color correcting. You probably will not love your hair right away, it is a process to get to the end result. It doesn’t happen in 1 session, sometimes not 2 or 3. It is an investment not just money wise, but time also (& in exchange for the stylists mental stability🤣)

My first guinea pig, my biggest hair fan & my best friend. We always have so much fun together when she’s in the chair. As excited as she is to see me on my wedding day, I am just as excited to see her, all done up and beautiful, as I have always seen her💚
