Tooie became intrested in soap making from a small age seeing her grandmother making soap. She was impressed with the use of different colors and natural ingredients. Her interest was peaked because, of the Rastafarian Faith has become a major part of her life. The ability to make soap that did not include pig fat or palm oil provided a great opportunity. An artist within her own right, it was important to put her personal art work into her soap making. "Every bar is an original work of art" In the early days Tooie started off with a little pot on her stove. Wild Essence now boasts a mall self contained factory at the back of her home in Clearwater which consists of two huge stainless steal cookers, racks and a shrink wrapping machine. While most of the work is done by Tooie, she does recieve help from her sister.
