I’m beyond grateful and still overwhelmed with emotion. October has been such a fruitful month in my journey.
In October 2016, I worked on hair for The Wiz. In 2019, I worked on my first Netflix series. In 2022, I created a wig for the one and only Lalah Hathaway.
And now, in October 2026, I’m the wig designer and supervisor for Intimate Apparel by Lynn Nottage, directed by alumni guest director Torie Wiggins.
Words can’t express how much this opportunity means to me. I’ve also had the joy of teaching technical hairstyling and the communication skills that help a student-run tech crew work together. These students have wowed me with their enthusiasm, dedication, and eagerness to learn.
To God be the glory! I feel deeply blessed and so proud of what we’re creating together.
