The moment when something that has been forming beneath the surface begins to reveal itself.
It is not the arrival of a finished version of the self. It is the process of becoming visible to yourself in a new way.
There is often a period before emergence that feels uncertain. Old identities begin to loosen. Familiar structures no longer fit. The next version has not yet taken shape, but something has shifted.
There is a quiet knowing that you cannot return to what was.
Emergence lives in that space.
It is the movement from internal transformation into outward expression. The willingness to step forward without knowing exactly where the path leads. To trust what is unfolding rather than forcing it into definition.
For me, this symbol marks a particularly personal moment of emergence. A new city, a new studio, a new rhythm, and a version of my practice that is still revealing itself.
Not a reinvention. An unfolding.
EMERGENCE is an invitation to notice what is already taking shape within you, and to give it the space to come forward.

What a fun and surprisingly satisfying piece
Done during my guest spot at the amazing Cyprus Chicago | Cosmetic, Restorative, and Custom Tattoos
A little process video because I find these so satisfying.
A lot of the work that I do is behind the scenes. From inspiration to playing with various aspects of design elements to drawing, editing, and revision of designs. Not to mention the whole social media aspect of it.
The process of creations # is really what brings me joy in my work. The creation that takes place in solidarity as well as the shared creation once the tattoo finds it wearer.
I’m slowly learning to take joy in the process of sharing my work online as well and sharing a glimpse of the beauty behind the scenes.
This is the first piece from my Symbols of Transformation collection titled CONVERGENCE
The design arose at a time in my life when many things we’re simultaneously falling apart and coming together.
