I get the question all the time. “If I get highlights, will it damage my curls?” My answer is “If lightener (bleach) is used improperly yes, it can cause so much damage for your curls” This wonderful client fell victim to a stylist who did not take into consideration that she loves her curls and wanted to go lighter *see original photo*. It took a year with regular trims and no more lightening for it to grow out for me to achieve healthy highlights! IT IS POSSIBLE!
