Since joining our team in December 2024, she has built something here that most stylists spend years working toward... a loyal clientele who comes back for her talent and stays because of who she is. Her eye for extensions is something special. The color matching, the placement, the seamless blend that makes you forget they're even there. She has invested in her craft since day one and that hard work has not gone unnoticed by this team.

Off the clock she's rooting for every contestant on the Great British Baking Show, being the best aunt to her nephew (that smile she gets when she talks about him says everything) and keeping a very close eye on Miso and Bento, who once broke into their automatic feeder while she was at work. We cannot confirm they've learned their lesson.

Since joining our team in the summer of 2024, she has brought something to this salon that is genuinely hard to put into words... a calm, intentional presence that makes everyone around her better. She listens. She looks at things from every angle. She stands for her teammates and she stands for herself. That kind of integrity is rare, and we don't take it for granted for a single day.

Behind the chair, she has grown into a stylist who takes the long view. The kind who thinks about your hair long after you've left. Her guests feel that. We feel that.

Her station is the one by the window, which means she has a front row seat to every dog that walks by on Spaulding Ave. We're convinced half her clients book with her just for the view. Off the clock she's got a crime documentary always queued up and enough Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Sopranos knowledge to win any trivia night in Logan Square. We love every bit of it.

There's a particular feeling that hits sometime in July when you realize Chicago summer is fully here and absolutely everything feels possible.

That's been this summer for us.

Our guests have walked through the door smiling, excited to be here, excited to see our team. That energy is not something we take lightly. You make this salon what it is and this summer you have reminded us of that every single day.

Our team has been growing too. Classes together, late conversations about color, a real investment in each other and in their craft. It's been genuinely beautiful to watch.

And then there's Logan Square... the newly renovated square full of people soaking up the sun, the small businesses around us buzzing, the neighborhood feeling more alive than ever. Being a small business owner in this community during summer is one of the greatest privileges I know.

We also brought something new to the salon this summer and watching our guests get excited to learn about Maria Nila alongside our team has brought a freshness to this space that we didn't know we needed.

Chicago summers are short and sacred. We know this. And we are soaking up every single second of this one.
