Hispanic Heritage Month: Hair Edition 💃🏽

Did you know? 👀

For many of us, hair is about more than just looking good. It’s connected to our culture, family, traditions, and self-expression.❤️

From the styles our moms taught us to our curls, waves, braids, and beautiful blowouts—our cabello tells a story. 💇🏽‍♀️

And let’s be honest… Latino families have some serious hair stories! 😂

This month, we’re celebrating our roots, our culture, and our gorgeous cabello. 🌺

Forever loved, forever missed, forever in our hearts. 🕊️

It is with a very heavy and broken heart that we share the passing of our longtime coworker and friend Sely.

Sely was not only a talented hairstylist, but a beautiful person who brought her own warmth and light to everyone around her. We had the privilege of sharing many years with her at the salon—years filled with conversations, laughter, meals, stories, and so many little moments that became memories we will always cherish.

Sely became a part of our salon family, and her presence, her smile, and the memories we shared with her will always have a special place in our hearts.

We thank God for the years we were blessed to know her, and we find comfort in knowing that she is now resting peacefully in His loving arms.

Please keep Sely’s family, friends, and all those who loved her in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.

Rest peacefully, Sely. You will be missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

For those who would like to pay their respects and honor Sely’s life, the details of her funeral services are below.

After being away from the salon for a couple of weeks recovering from a knee treatment, I'm so grateful to say that I'm doing much better. God heard my prayers, and I'm incredibly thankful for the healing and strength He's given me.

While I was away, one of my sweet clients mailed me this handwritten note after her appointment. It completely touched my heart. Her kindness, encouragement, and thoughtfulness mean more than she will ever know.

Moments like this remind me why I love what I do. I'm so grateful for every client who trusts me with their hair and allows me to be part of helping them feel confident and beautiful.

To all of our amazing Conexión clients—thank you for supporting me and our entire team. Your loyalty, kindness, and trust allow us to do what we love every single day, and we never take that for granted.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. ❤️

With gratitude,

Ang & the rest of the Conexión Salon and Spa family
