Yesterday morning, MetroBoard joined forces with M'Body Fitness to kick off National Day of Wellness (NDOW) with Mindful Miles: 5K Walk & Run—sponsored by our incredible partners at Ulta Beauty Charitable Foundation! From logging 5K miles through Chicago’s Historic Bronzeville Neighborhood to earning participation medals and sharing light refreshments, our community showed up in full force to prioritize physical movement, mental clarity, and health equity.

A huge thank you to everyone who spent their Labor Day morning with us! 🏅🌱

Last month, MetroBoard hosted an extraordinary August General Body Meeting featuring an intimate fireside chat with John W. Rogers, Jr., Founder, Chairman & Co-CEO of Ariel Investments and former Chairman of The Chicago Urban League.

Rather than a typical lecture, members had a direct line to four decades of pioneer-level wisdom on patient capital, long-term wealth building, and sustained Black ownership.

Huge thank you to Mr. Rogers for sharing his time, journey, and powerful perspective with our membership, Alstork’s Lil Bundles for the delicious dessert and to everyone who showed up ready to build!
