It’s hard to believe summer is already winding down and fall is just around the corner! 🍂 Before we know it, the holiday season will be here and with it, an extra busy time of year in the salon. If you haven’t already, now is a great time to make sure your appointments are booked through the end of the year so you can get the days and times that work best for you. To help accommodate the busy holiday season, I’ve also opened additional appointment availability on Monday, November 23rd and Monday, December 21st. If you’re hoping to get in before Thanksgiving or Christmas, these extra days are now available to book online.

September is also bringing something new for me! I’ll be taking a business class called From Chair to Boss, and I’m really excited to spend some time learning, growing, and investing in the next chapter of my business. I’m always looking for ways to grow both behind the chair and beyond it and I’m looking forward to seeing what I take away from this experience.

Beginning in September, I’m introducing something new to your salon experience, the Reconnection Consultation.

While we always take time to talk about your hair during your appointments, I wanted to create a more intentional opportunity to really check in with you. Going forward, your Reconnection Consultation will be something we do once a year to make sure your hair goals, services, home care, and overall salon experience continue to work for you.

We’ll talk about what you’re loving about your hair, anything that may not be working as well as you’d like, your current and long-term hair goals, seasonal concerns, and whether there are other services or products you’ve been curious about. We’ll also take a moment to review things like your VIP Membership and rewards, along with some of the resources available to make managing your appointments and home care a little easier.

There’s nothing extra you need to schedule or prepare for, I’ll simply incorporate your Reconnection Consultation into one of your upcoming appointments this fall.

I’m really looking forward to taking some extra time to check in with each of you, and making sure the services and experience I provide continue to evolve right along with you. I can’t wait to see you at your next appointment and kick off our first season of Reconnection Consultations! 💕

Neighborhood News: Oktoberfest in Lincoln Square 🥨🍺

One of Lincoln Square’s favorite fall traditions is back! The Chicago German-American Oktoberfest takes place September 11th–13th right here in the Square at Western & Leland.

Come celebrate the neighborhood’s German heritage with authentic German food and drinks, live music, traditional singing and dancing, and plenty of fun throughout the weekend. The annual Steuben Parade also takes place Saturday at 2pm, making its way up Lincoln Avenue and ending right here in Lincoln Square.

Admission to Oktoberfest is free, so if you’re looking for a fun way to kick off fall and enjoy everything our neighborhood has to offer, come out and join the festivities! Prost! 🍻

I can't believe I'm writing the August Newsletter already. Summer has been flying by, and I hope you've been enjoying these last few weeks of sunshine, neighborhood festivals and time spent outdoors with family and friends. I've been looking forward to August all year because this month marks a few exciting milestones for me.

This month I turn 40, my salon turns 5 and I officially celebrate 20 years behind the chair. Looking back, I feel incredibly grateful for every guest I've met, every conversation we've shared, and all of the years that brought me to this point.

Over the past year, I've been especially excited to dive deeper into the business side of things. Creating new experiences, refining my services and finding new ways to make every visit feel even more special. I can't wait to continue sharing everything I've been working on and celebrate this exciting season with all of you.
