Peace Of Mine

If I tell u my prices increased & u ask or feel compelled to ask me “what comes with that?”, immediately spend time seeking services elsewhere because I ASSURE u that I will be removing ur energy from my emotional space.

A good rule of thumb when ur paying for elective services is that service providers (like me) are NOT actually selling services & products. WE ARE the product that happens to OFFER services🥴🤣🤷🏽‍♀️

So if u don’t understand my craft enough to recognize what I already provide, then u will NEVER understand the value in it or the rationale behind my cost increases.

You will always see me as “a hair stylist” & ur behavior & questions toward me will indicate that. 🥴

I am not about to give an accounting breakdown to guests, customers & clients who are price shopping, comparison shopping, chair hopping & using social media as their measuring tool for their expectations.

I put a lot of effort & money into the way I operate. You don’t have to like it, but you WILL respect it!!😤

I use a calendar like it’s the holy grail of my existence. Everything from my work schedule to my agreed days on keeping my grand girl gets added to the lineup. 🙌🏾

If you see me doing anything other than breathing, best believe I scheduled it into my plans!💯

So when people seemingly roll out the bed or wake up from their lives & reach out to me for an appointment…to be scheduled on the day they contacted me!? At a time THEY see fit?! Then treat it like it’s life or death!? Suddenly their hair is in serious need of my expertise!? Miraculously, they just DECIDED “it’s time” to seek professional help…RIGHT NOW!? Immediately! It BLOWS MY MIND completely🤯

….cuz at what point did you stop to take a good look at yourself & decide you needed to do better?! Surely it was WAY before THIS MORNING…after you had breakfast!?🙄

Bottom line, I have a process that was created to filter out people who don’t respect structure & or TRUE professionalism. 🤷🏽‍♀️

For some folks, they think it begins & ends with the words “please & thank you” or moving my feet when they wave a couple dollars at me 🙄

Well I’m here to tell you that time management & respect (from you too!!) is REAL big on my list of attributions! So if you move through life on whims…if your priorities are being held together by duct tape & bubble gum…if you don’t like process & or protocols…you won’t like me🤷🏽‍♀️.

So please don’t shoot the messenger. Just find another person to point your frustrations at. I mean, I’m glad you like my work! I appreciate the interest, but I’ve got a business to run…& I can’t do it with people who think I work when THEY want me to or price myself how THEY think I should 🤷🏽‍♀️
