Kelly Murray Adult Sleep
I help women 35+ solve their sleep issues through lab testing so that they can live their lives to the fullest.
One of the things I gave up for better sleep?! đ¤ GRANOLA. 𼚠A glucose monitor helped me see what my blood sugar was actually doing - and suddenly those 3am wake-ups started making a lot more sense. â¨
Follow for Part 3 + more of what actually helped me sleep again!

Kinda chic to fix the cause instead of just chasing the symptoms. đ
Which one surprised you the most? Let me know in the comments đ
The first thing I did to improve my sleep wasnât a supplement or a bedtime routineâit was a mindset shift. đŤ It sounds a little unhinged, but changing how I viewed those 3 a.m. wake-ups changed everything. â¨đ¤đ¤
Follow along for Part 2, where Iâll share one of the practical changes that made the biggest difference! đ¤

Comment âLABSâ if youâre ready to uncover whatâs really behind your sleepless nights. đ
Your doctor runs the same basic bloodwork every year and tells you everything looks ânormal.â
Meanwhile, youâre lying awake at 3 AM wondering why you canât sleep through the night anymore.
Hereâs the truth: standard labs werenât designed to uncover whatâs actually disrupting your sleep in midlife.
These 3 tests changed everything for me â and theyâre the same ones I run with my clients:
đŹ GI Map â Reveals hidden gut infections like parasites, yeast, and bacterial overgrowth that trigger overnight histamine spikes and tank your neurotransmitters. (Yes, your gut issues and your 3 AM wake-ups are connected.)
𧪠DUTCH Hormone Test â Goes way beyond what your doctorâs basic hormone panel shows. Weâre talking your full cortisol pattern, melatonin production, estrogen metabolism, and how your body is actually processing hormones â not just whether they exist.
đââď¸ Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) â Explains why that magnesium supplement everyone recommended still isnât helping. Shows mineral deficiencies, imbalances, and heavy metal toxicity that directly affect your ability to sleep.
These arenât ânice to haveâ tests. Theyâre the missing puzzle pieces your doctor isnât looking for.
When you stop guessing and start testing, you actually fix the problem â not just manage it.

Okay, now that I have your attention...𤣠youâre going to love the actual sleep tips! đ Hit follow!!!
If youâre reaching for Pepcid and Zyrtec đ every month right before your period just to get some sleep, youâre not crazy and youâre not alone. But letâs be real for a second: thatâs not a solution, thatâs a bandaid. ⨠Comment LABS to learn more about getting to the root. â¨
Hereâs whatâs actually happening.
Histamine naturally rises and falls with your hormones, and right before your period, when progesterone drops, your bodyâs ability to break histamine down (through an enzyme called DAO) drops too. So histamine builds up. And histamine doesnât just make you itchy or congested, itâs a stimulant. It revs up your nervous system right when you need to be winding down, which is exactly why sleep gets so much harder in that premenstrual window.
Zyrtec and Pepcid are both antihistamines (yes, even the heartburn one blocks histamine too), so theyâre temporarily quieting the noise. But theyâre not asking the real question: why is your histamine this high in the first place?
A few things that actually get at the root:
⨠Get your histamine levels tested instead of guessing every month whether youâll need the meds
⨠Quercetin is a natural antihistamine that can support your body instead of just blocking symptoms
⨠Watch your high histamine trigger foods in that premenstrual window, aged cheese, alcohol, and leftovers are common culprits
⨠Support your gut health year round, since gut health plays a huge role in the amount of histamine your body produces
Youâre not broken and this isnât just âyour period being dramatic.â Your body is telling you something specific, we just have to listen to it.
Testing is better than guessing, my friend. đ
Comment LABS 𧪠and Iâll send you the info on how we actually find out whatâs driving this instead of white-knuckling it every month. đ

Scary fact of the day: More than 50% of women over 40 have low or deficient vitamin D levels. Ladies, follow along for more tips! đ
Yep-more than half of us are running low on the sunshine vitamin, and itâs not just about bones. đł
Low vitamin D can mess with your sleep, mood, immune system, and
hormones-aka the full midlife trifecta. đ¤
If youâre constantly tired, canât sleep, or feel like somethingâs off but your labs are ânormal,â this could be one of the missing puzzle pieces. đ§Š
I use a free app called Dminder-it calculates the exact times the sun is in prime D-making mode based on your location. Itâs like having a personal assistant for sunshine. âď¸
Try timing your sun exposure with this app and see what happens to your sleep. Spoiler alert: your circadian rhythm loves it. đ
If this helped â follow for more! đ
⨠If youâve been told your labs are ânormalâ but you still donât feel like yourself, comment LABS below!â¨
Youâre waking up at 3 AM, exhausted but wired, battling hot flashes, mood swings, and a body that feels completely off.
And when you finally muster the energy to ask for help, you hear:
âThatâs just aging. Welcome to being a woman!â
âYour labs are normal, so youâre fine.â
âLetâs test you for sleep apnea.â
âHow about some sleeping pills?â
Sound familiar? đĽ´
Youâre not alone. Traditional medicine often misses the root causes of chronic sleep struggles in midlife women â like hormone imbalances, gut issues, and other hidden stressors.
I know this first hand because Iâve been there too.
Thatâs why I created my Murray Method for Midlife Sleep Mastery program, combining functional lab testing with personalized group coaching to uncover whatâs really sabotaging your sleep and fix it for good.
If this hits too close to home, drop the word LABS 𧪠and Iâll send you more info about my program. You deserve better.đ
