My aunt and uncle came to visit last week!!
My aunt Cynthia text me before she came that she was thinking about treating herself with color and cut. She typically just cuts it herself and doesn’t do any color. I was honored to be able to color it for her. This was us having a consultation trying to figure out what color and placement she wanted. I was coming straight from jiujitsu and getting her in when we could for her visit here. Watch to see us chat and see the end result.

We went to the game Sunday!
It was dumpling day but a pleasant surrrrrprise was it was also Hispanic day!!! My brother and I were all over that. They had a Hispanic announcer that was going crazy rolling his R’s sooo much fun. I wish it was Hispanic day there everyday.
Did you know I’m 50% Hispanic?
It was such a special day. The cardinals won!!! Our sweet neighbor boy got to come with us and after the game Liev had his game and they won too!!!

Did you know you can come just for braids? Or tinsel and braids?
Sometimes you just want your hair pulled back so you can go to six flags without it flying in your face constantly.

If you don’t make time for yourself who’s going to do it?
I was just talking to a friend yesterday about what inner child work looks like to me. It’s not about going through the childhood trauma and reliving and unpacking all that hurt. It’s about every day scenarios where I can find play and whimsy and enjoy it. It’s when I can giggle at things and feel like a kid. I picture her with me like an inch in front of me, like overlapping. And when something comes up she doesn’t want to do I get to be the person that speaks up and says no.
What about when she wants something? Who’s making sure she’s loved and cared for? That’s me too. I take care of her and myself everyday. That’s the beautiful inner child work I do daily.
Take time for you and that baby in you cause you both need to be loved on. Let me love on you. Let me massage your scalp, neck and shoulders. Let yourself sink in, relax and mediate. You won’t regret it. I promise.
