Marianne and Briana have both worked on this client over the last 3 years. You can see that she tried to find a method that worked for her hair in the beginning and visited a couple of different people. Neither method that she was getting was working very well. Our method seems to be doing the trick as you can see. Like I always say, the proof is in the pudding.

But this is just a reminder that as you go through your Dreadlock journey, it’s important that you do your research and find people who are well qualified to work on your hair type, if you can, and then stick with them consistently.

When you switch from one method to the other, it will take a while for your hair to display the effect of that specific method. I would say about six months typically due to our hair only growing a half inch month and then shrinking when that new growth locks up. It will take at least six months to see about 2 to 3 inches of proof of that method. So that takes a lot of trust and commitment, which is where doing your research before hand is super helpful.

Our girl Morgan has been growing some amazing stuff and has brought it to the salon to share with us! Willow, loofah, sage and rosemary bundles…

We carry Fiori shampoo and conditioner bars at the salon. For those of you who weren’t familiar with this product. I don’t think there’s anything on the market that could be more guilt free well also being wonderful for your hair. And they’re pretty and smell amazing too just for an added bonus

Morgan has settled in next to Marianne and the clients have been wandering into our special little space for the first time.

Whenever a stylist moves locations, it can be scary for them and their clientele because… change is hard 🤷‍♀️. The greatest compliment we can receive is that our clients will be willing to trust that we’ve made a decision that will bring them the comfort they are used to and they support us through it.

Driving to Deep Creek can feel weird the first time because, let’s face it, there’s a lot of people that have never been through this area of Chesapeake. It’s very industrial and how could something so cute possibly exist in it? But we do!

All this to offer a big Thank You to all the clients willing to step out of their comfort zone to follow their hairstylist! It warms our hearts and feeds our children.
