I’ve been struggling a little bit with my personal life lately, but I got a request to do this and so I came in on Saturday for this delightful young woman and let me tell you, the 5+ hours I spent painting rainbows was just what I needed! She’s just a doll of a human and painting her hair filled me with so much joy! We both love how it turned out, hope you do too! Color by Elumen. 🌈

On my days out of the salon, I tackle home improvement projects. This weekend involved climbing a 2 story scaffolding to paint window frames, and this… Mortise locks are simple mechanisms that somehow thwart me. It’s not so much the locks as the strike plates, I guess. Or perhaps it’s 94 years of paint layers that keep the doors from properly closing and locking. So I’ve spent about 5 hours trying to get a functional lock for the downstairs bathroom door and still no dice. I DID get 3 cute skeleton keys from The Refindery on McCallie… BUT I think I’d rather be doing extensions!

Sometimes the most challenging haircuts are the bestest! This is my delightful and delicious nephew Oliver, graciously allowing me to test my speed, and agility on a moving target, WITH scissors!! ✂️ 😂

Enjoying some fresh advanced techniques by and in the salon today. 💇‍♀️ What a treat to see students, new graduates, and experienced stylists all learning together.

What? Just getting a little lash glam while I’m recovering from hand surgery… in my sweats, because BALANCE!
