Latitude Massage

As founder and owner of Latitude Massage, I have some big news to share. It is with great excitement that I announce I’m passing the torch!

⭐️This month, Gin Yates will officially start her new role as the owner of Latitude Massage.⭐️

Making the decision to transition ownership came with thoughtful deliberation, but I want the Latitude community to know—I can’t think of a better person to step into this role.

Many of you remember Gin from the early years of Latitude as the first massage therapist to join me in 2021. It was an easy decision then, and it’s an even easier decision now because Gin lives a life of service to her loved ones and community. She holds a deep connection and dedication to her massage clients, yoga students, and family. As the upcoming new owner, Gin is eager to grow a lasting relationship with the Latitude staff and community to carry on the legacy of serving those who have always been at the heart of the practice–you, the clients.

A couple major life changes guided my decision. In June 2025 my son was born, and although I joyfully returned to the studio after maternity leave, life is a whole different ball game raising two young children! This past June, my family and I moved to Charlotte, NC because my husband got a once in a lifetime opportunity to join the coaching staff for the Women’s National Field Hockey team. After moving out of state, it became clear to me how important it was for Latitude to have a local owner and operator, and for me to truly be where my feet are.

As I close this beautiful chapter and grow my local Charlotte massage practice, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to every single person who has walked through Latitude’s doors and has been a part of the blossoming community. It was never just a business to me, and reflecting on the past six years has opened my eyes to how much gratitude I have for the journey. As cliche as it is, words fail to convey how full my heart is. (There are some tears of joy as I write this because when it feels right, you know it’s right.)

A warm welcome to our newest Massage Therapist, Amy!

Amy’s passionate desire to learn about and practice natural holistic ways of healing led her into the field of massage therapy. She graduated from the VA School of Massage in 2006. Over the last 20 years of practice Amy has learned a variety of techniques, which she integrates into her treatments based on her client’s expressed focus and needs. Some of her advanced areas of studies include: Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, Neuromuscular/Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, and Passive Resistance Stretching.

Amy has been described on more than one occasion by her clients as having “magic hands,” primarily because of her ability to feel the tension in her clients. With a slow, intentional, and detailed approach, their muscle tension eases! She also discovered the great need to advance her training in Geriatric Massage, in which she gained the knowledge and experience to adjust her treatments to accommodate various age related conditions.

When she’s not massaging, Amy loves discovering new food recipes, tending to her garden, and adventuring in nature!
