Offering Bodywork and Yoga to Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas. After all this time, I do many types of massage & bodywork.

In Spring 2008, I graduated from Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Massage with 500HR Certification in Massage Therapy, meeting National Certification requirements & obtaining my NC license. At this same time, I also gained certification as a Reiki Practitioner and in 2012, I completed my Master Level, giving me the ability to teach others this healing modality. In 2011, I received my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher certification, and in October 2016 completed Asheville Yoga Center's additional 300 Hour training, designating me as a Yoga Teacher at the 500 Hour level as recognized by the Yoga Alliance. I do, however, have folks ask me what my "specialties" are. At this point in my career, I'd have to say that rehabilitative therapies, and prenatal/postpartum massage are where my main focus is. It is because of my passion of working with the mother-baby community, and being a mother of 2 myself that I have chosen to pursue a second career as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). As of December 2020, I have obtained my stepping-stone certification of Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS). To learn more about this exciting new direction me and my business are headed, check out the "Holistic Mama" tab. Through all the work I do, I firmly believe in a holistic approach. I blend all of the things I've learned throughout the years to ensure that my clients get the most out of their time with me, as well as working in conjunction with other practitioners to offer complementary therapies. I am grateful and deeply honored that you trust me to be part of your healthcare team!

It’s been a while…

Last time I posted, I was celebrating my 40th birthday + 5-year wedding anniversary at Grove Park Inn.

I spent most of that weekend unplugged, enjoying time with my husband and taking time for myself.

Danny & I enjoyed the spa, and I got a fabulous 1-hour massage that Saturday afternoon.

Well before I was a veteran Massage Therapist, I got bodywork from when I played softball & danced in High School…

I have had some excellent sessions, some mediocre, and some exceptional.

The massage I received at Grove Park that day was one of the very best massages I’ve ever had!

From the beginning, I knew I was in capable hands.

The therapist shared with me that she had been working at the spa for 15 years, with about the same amount of time in the field as what I’ve spent doing this work.

But, it wasn’t her time & tenure as an LMBT that made her exceptional…

Her intuition, care, attention to detail, patience, calming & present energy, & love for her craft is what made this session magnificent.

I knew that no matter her time in this field, she has been wonderful from the very beginning.

There are people who do massage…

And, then there are Therapists, like this one at Grove Park and myself, that truly are doing what God has laid forth before them and Know it.

I was so blessed to be on her table that day for her to share her heart with me, and I pray I end up in her capable hands again one day- I’m beyond grateful for the healing experience I received that day!

I share this because whether you’re a fellow therapist following me, or someone on a different career path, I’ll invite you to look at yourself and ask if you’re doing what God has set forth before you; Are you fulfilled & happy?

Too often we get stuck in a grind or in pleasing others, but, what if you look at what’s honestly true to your heart?

Every session I do is utterly and completely a song from my heart, & I can’t imagine a life without being able to give to others the way this profession allows me to- I am so very blessed!

Thank you for seeing my heart, and following along!

With Love, CB♡

Happy Friday!

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted…

Life as a small business owner + being a mama + PTO President at my kids’ school has kept me busy!

But, it’s time for a much-needed break.

I celebrated my 40th birthday on 3/26, and my 5-year wedding anniversary on 3/27- Danny and me are going to Asheville this weekend to continue celebrating these milestones.

I’ve been out-of-office since yesterday afternoon and will be minimally available until my return back to work Monday evening, 4/6.

I hope you all have a blessed Easter weekend!
