I will always recommend a chemical exfoliant over a physical exfoliant FIRST. I have nothing against physical exfoliating. 🥰

Just to make it plain, waxing is a form of exfoliation. The skin barrier becomes compromised. Physical exfoliation can cause more harm than good.

The gentler approach is chemical exfoliation, it dissolves dead skin cells without abrasive friction.

Wait at least 24-48 hours to use any form of treatment. You do not want to cause a chemical burn or physical damage.

The goal is to prevent new hair growth from being trapped beneath dead skin cells when it’s trying to break through the skins surface.

I started my lash career in 2022 out of curiosity. I began at a lash franchise & I honestly didn’t have the best experience and I felt the training was rushed. I left and started to take models to get better. ( I was not good at all but I knew with practice I could get better.) It was extremely hard to find anyone willing to let me practice on them, for free might I add.

Then in 2023 I applied for a lash artist position at a salon and I got hired on to take models that paid & I was trained very well. I was going through so much mentally, financially and emotionally that I couldn’t see the opportunity that I had in front of me and I just quit and I instantly regretted it.

Ever since I’ve been so afraid to start over, but I made the decision in June I’d try again. I was just going to hop back in but I’ve since realized that would have been a DISASTER. While discussing this with my friend Charlotte’s Only Luxury Mobile Spa , she recommended that I reach out to my friends and family to offer my services for free so that I can practice! (Great idea!)

I’ve been testing my products to see what’s working and what’s not. I’m testing to see how long the lashes lasts. I’m working to get my time down while getting the natural lashes filled to at least 80-90%. It has been some errors but nothing I’m worried about. I can’t wait to get back to it at full capacity.
