Their opposite personalities crack me up 🤣🤣
One hates being dirty, one couldn’t care less😅
Which are you? Team beach or team pool?
As a girly raw-dogging her 30s 😂 (no Botox, no filler, no fancy procedures), wrinkle PREVENTION is KEY!
I’m not trying to stop myself from aging, I just want to take care of my skin and age as well as I can. And apparently that means being the girl who talks about sunscreen now. 😂☀️
A few things I’m prioritizing for my skin these days:
✨ Daily SPF — not just when I’m at the beach or spending all day outside
💧 Staying hydrated — inside and out
🥑 Eating a nutrient-dense diet with plenty of protein, healthy fats, fruits + veggies
😴 Getting enough sleep (whenever mom life allows)😭
🏋🏼♀️ Regular exercise + staying active
🧴 Keeping my skin moisturized and taking care of my skin barrier
🚭 Not smoking ci******es (fridge cigs only😉)
☀️ And no more tanning beds (cries in millennial🥲)
And since sunscreen is something I’m putting on every single day, I want one I actually like wearing. This mineral SPF has been working really well for my combination skin… hydrating enough that I don’t feel dry, but not so heavy that I look oily.
Plus, it layers really nicely under my cream makeup, which is a MUST for me.
Aging is inevitable. Sun damage? That’s something I can be a little more proactive about. 😉
Nothing is more exhausting 😩 The constant mental gymnastics of:
“Is she teething?”
“Sleep regression?”
“Growth spurt?”
“Hungry?”
“Too hot?”
“Too cold?”
“Did she nap too long?”
“Not enough?”
“Is there a full moon?”
Like WHY did she sleep perfectly for months and then suddenly decide we don’t believe in sleeping through the night anymore?! 🤪
Just over here trying to crack the exact equation to getting my tiny toddler back to sleeping through the night. 🫠
Tell me I’m not the only one 😂
For the mom who spent all day taking care of everyone else…
I’m proud of you for showing up for yourself, too.🫶🏼
Maybe your workout wasn’t perfect.
Maybe you didn’t hit every macro.
Maybe you only got 20 minutes to yourself.
Maybe you squeezed it in between school pickup, dinner, bedtime, and a million other things.
It still counts.
Taking care of yourself doesn’t have to mean disappearing for an hour, having a perfect routine, or putting your family second.
Sometimes it looks like a workout with kids interrupting you.
Sometimes it’s choosing a nourishing meal instead of skipping lunch.
Sometimes it’s going to bed instead of pushing through one more thing.
Sometimes it’s simply deciding that you matter, too.
You spend so much of your day showing up for everyone else.
You deserve to show up for yourself, too. 🤍
“Just wake up at 5 AM to get your workouts in.”
“Meal prep all your meals on Sundays.”
“Never skip a workout.”
“Just prioritize yourself.”
And while I love the intention behind these reminders… sometimes they completely ignore real life.
Because motherhood is a season where you’re constantly pouring into everyone else.
Some days your workout is 20 minutes in your living room with your toddler playing nearby.
Some days your “meal prep” is simply making sure you have protein options ready and healthy snacks available.
Some days taking care of yourself means drinking your water, getting outside, or choosing a nourishing meal instead of eating the kid’s leftovers.
Healthy habits don’t have to be complicated to be effective.
I’ve learned that the goal isn’t to create a perfect routine that only works when life is calm…
It’s to build simple habits that support you in the season you’re actually in.
One thing that has helped me stay consistent as a busy, work from home mom is finding simple ways to support my nutrition on the days my diet is…lacking. Like making sure I’m getting in a daily greens supplement with AG1. It has 22 essential vitamins and minerals and while it’s not a replacement for eating a balanced diet, it’s an easy way to add extra nutrients and support my routine on the days when meals aren’t as perfect as I planned.
Because taking care of yourself doesn’t have to be all or nothing.
Every small decision adds up. Consistency over perfection. 🤍
