Our Onda pro uses patented “Coolwave” or microwave energy to disrupt fat cells and the fibrous bands that give cellulite its appearance. These results were after 2 sessions (each around 30 minutes and 1 month apart.). Her results will continue to improve as collagen is made. We did her third treatment which will further reduce the tissue bulk also. 50% of energy emitted by the shallow hand piece used with this treatment is absorbed by skin and 50% by fat.

We offer Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Daxxify at Charlotte Medical Aesthetics. We love being able to give options. We feel each has its place. They are all FDA approved, and therefore, all work. Some feel lighter, some spread more than others, some are more precise. During your visit, we will discuss your goals and decide which is best for you!

Xeomin has been a favorite for Dr. Crenshaw for years. It’s been double filtered, so it has no accessory proteins. This means your body sees less “foreign” material than with other neurotoxins. It also tends to feel lighter, especially in the forehead. That doesn’t mean she’s weaker! It’s similar dosing and duration to standard Botox. The active portion is pulled in to the cell by human serum albumin. It has the highest concentration of HSA than any other tox on the market. That means it gets taken up quickly!

Xeomin is offered at $11/unit with a very generous rewards program.

This patient came to us not liking what she saw in the mirror. She felt she looked tired. We took a staged approach to address several areas of her face. We wanted her to look refreshed. Mission: accomplished. At our first appointment, we used filler in her mid-face to support the undereye area and restore fat pad volume she’s lost over the years. This also improved her nasolabial fold. We used some filler also along her jawline and in her chin. We did full face Daxxify to soften expression lines and lift the brows slightly. Daxxify in the lower face can help relax the muscles that are pulling down on the lower face.

2 weeks later (2nd picture) we added a little more cheek filler, some under her eyes, and a smidge in her lips.

We used the Onda at this visit to decrease some of fullness along the jawline. That will take a couple weeks to show its full result. Her neurotoxin may also kick in a little more to further improve the definition. We may decide to address her jawline with more filler in the future, but she does not want a sharp, chiseled jawline.

Facial balancing doesn’t mean 10 syringes of filler. We can strategically use smaller amounts in certain areas that indirectly improve neighboring features. Neurotoxins can also provide much needed harmony and improvements. Not every area needs to be targeted at a single appointment either.
