What if your hair appointment could feel like exhaling? 🤍

Not rushed.
Not intimidating.
Not like you’re just another name on the schedule.

Earlier this year, Cinelle came into my chair for her first salon appointment in nearly three years.

She was recovering from a traumatic brain injury, and before her appointment she told me exactly what she needed: less light, less noise, a gentle touch and a little patience.

So that’s what we did.

Later, Cinelle wrote about that day for Oprahdaily.com and reading her words reminded me of something I’ve believed for a very long time:

It’s never just hair.

Sometimes you sit in my chair because you want to be really, really blonde. 😉
Sometimes you need a fresh start.
Sometimes life has changed and you’re trying to recognize the woman looking back at you again. And sometimes you just need a couple of hours where someone takes care of you.

I’m incredibly grateful to Cinelle for trusting me with a small piece of her story and for putting into words what I hope every woman feels when she sits in my chair.

You’re showing the inspo pic. You’re saying “BLONDER.” So why do you keep leaving the salon feeling… dull???

Here’s the thing: you might already be blonde enough.

This is the part of blonding I’m a little obsessive about.

it’s kinda chic to think blonde is just blonde… until you realise it’s actually all in the details.

the depth you leave, the foils you don’t place, the way you build brightness around the face instead of flooding the whole head — that’s what makes it look expensive.

because the goal isn’t more blonde. it’s better blonde. the kind that moves well, grows out softly, and still looks intentional when you’re not trying.

tiny sections. thoughtful placement. a little restraint where it matters.

and honestly? that’s kinda chic.

• But there’s something incredibly satisfying about turning flat brunettes into rich, dimensional brunettes that practically glow.

• I believe beautiful hair should still look beautiful weeks later.

• I could survive on coffee and Coca-Cola… although my water bottle judges me daily. ☕🥤

• My toxic trait? Starting a true crime documentary as soon as we put Lucy down for the night-knowing full well I’ll be triple-checking my locks before bed. 🔒😂

• A girls’ night can be anywhere… as long as there are espresso martinis involved . 🍸

• If we’re together for three hours, we’ll probably cover marriage, motherhood, Bravo, books, vacations, home decorating, and whether bangs are ever a good idea. (Which usually aren’t in this chs humidity)

• My favorite part of this job isn’t the before & after photos—it’s watching someone smile differently when they finally feel like themselves again.
