SweetSavours Natural Body Care Apothecary began with a situation that left me in critical need of soaps and lotions that would not further irritate my already dry, medication damaged skin. When I didn't find anything that met my skin’s needs, I took steps to learn how to make my own skin care products. Being a Georgia Girl and growing up cooking, I learned how to add a “little something extra" to whatever I was cooking. That background transferred to the soaps I made. My imagination had me adding a little extra butter or another kind of oil to the batches of soap I made. The different ingredients worked well together and were well liked. Soap led to lip balm, and then the door opened for me to learn how to make other body care products. My family and friends liked what I was making and began to ask for more. I wanted and still do want that what they buy from me to be the best. Heart and mind go into every product made. Time is taken to research ingredients and then formulate products. After a lot of loving encouragement, I began to consider and envision my little “hobby” as a business. This is how SweetSavours Natural Body Care Apothecary began to grow. The heart of SweetSavours is simple – uniquely natural. Everyone has an innate need to be and be seen as unique and individual. That's how we are made, beautifully particular. SweetSavours’ purpose and goal is to make natural body care products that are uniquely formulated to meet specific skin care needs, be enjoyed and not break a person’s budget. A wide variety of natural ingredients, butters, oils, etc. are used to make each of the “Savours” in the product line. Of course, the key ingredient is LOVE. Each of us makes deliberate decisions about what we put into our bodies. We think about what it tastes like and how it smells. We consider the cost and that often determines what we buy. Well, what about what we put ON our bodies? Every day, with every opportunity, make personal time exceptional. By design, that's what you are, Phenomenally Exceptional! Come on! Make the most of ordinary moments. Put on a special, soothing LipSavour or smooth on a skin indulgent Luxuri or Lux Body Lotion. You deserve it! If you don't see a Savour that is “sweet” to you, let me know. We can discuss what you are looking for (in need of) and if there isn't one available, I can work to formulate a "Savour" to meet YOUR unique need. The Savours are being made!

It feels so good to be back in the Apothecary and making SweetSavours products!
I’ve been spending time getting things ready, checking and refreshing the formulas, and taking inventory of the ingredients. Now the making has begun, with the Ch*****ne creams first on my production list, followed by CocoSavours.
And before I get too far into what’s on my worktable, let me tell you where you can come see me! SweetSavours will be at the Gilbert Art Walk at its new location, Verde at Cooley Station, on Saturday, October 24, from 9 AM–1 PM.
Yes, I am excited! There’s something special about finally getting to put the Savours on the tables and letting you see them, smell them, and feel them for yourself. I’m looking forward to that and to talking with you face to face.
There have also been dried herbs, jars, glycerin, and oils on my worktable. I’ve prepared the botanicals in glycerites and oil infusions for the Savours I’ll be making. This is actually one of my favorite parts of the process. When I make a glycerite or an oil infusion, I’m thinking about the product it will go into and what I want that ingredient to contribute. As I’ve gone back through the SweetSavours formulas, I’ve been paying even closer attention to that. Every ingredient needs to belong and have a purpose. If I can’t answer the question, “Why is this here?” then I need to take another look at it.
There’s something else I’ve been thinking about also. You and I both know the price of just about everything has gone up. Ingredients, containers, and the things it takes to get a product into your hands have all become more expensive. I want the products I make to be worthy of their price, and that’s why I took the time to review and update the formulas. I want you to feel good about what you’re choosing, and I want to feel good about what I’m putting into your hands.
As each product is finished and ready, I’ll be adding it to the SweetSavours website. So instead of waiting until everything is finished, you’ll begin seeing the Savours as they’re ready.
It feels good to be moving forward again. There’s a lot of making ahead, and I’m looking forward to sharing my progress with you as it happens.
And I hope you’ll save a little time on October 24 to come see what all this making has been about!

When you come in, take your time and look around. The shelves won't be filled just yet. As I shared, I'll be handmaking the products and adding them to the Apothecary as they're ready.
You'll see some familiar things, some new things, and a few things that may make you a little curious. So there will always be a reason to come back and see what's new. 😊

I've spent a lot of time refining the product recipes and rebranding SweetSavours Body Care Apothecary.
When the doors open on August 25, the shelves won't be filled with products just yet. Over the next few weeks, I'll be handmaking them and adding them to the website as they're ready.
I can't wait for you to see what SweetSavours has become! I'm excited! There's still a lot of work for me to do, but I'm getting there, and I'd like for you to come along with me.

CocoSavours are coming back for everyday comfort. There's also RedTea Savours for when your skin is asking for a little more.
HandSavours and FootSavours are coming back, too. They're for the parts of you that do a whole lot of work.
LipSavours lip balms have had an update, and a few other products are joining them for everyday lip care. And we didn't forget HIZ Grooming for the gentlemen. 😊
I'll introduce you properly to all of the Savours soon. For now, I just wanted you to know about the Savours we'll be adding to the Apothecary shelves.
