Another walk around the city, and our second year being a part of Especially for You. 💗 Every year, it’s incredible to see how many people this walk inspires, supports, and brings together.

Even while some of our Essence teammates were away in New York for Intercoiffure, we still wanted to show our support for our Cedar Rapids community and everyone walking/running back home. 💕

While in New York, we also had the opportunity to learn about HairToStay, a nonprofit dedicated to helping cancer patients afford scalp cooling treatments. Scalp cooling can help reduce chemotherapy-induced hair loss, but the added cost can make it inaccessible for many patients. HairToStay provides need-based financial assistance to help bridge that gap. Hair To Stay SB

As hairstylists, we understand just how deeply hair can be connected to confidence, identity, and feeling like yourself. This is a mission that truly touched us.
